The Catalinbread Tribute is a fresh take on the , one of the early CB pedals that combined a single band parametric EQ and clean boost in a simple package. The Tribute maintains the original vision with the same fine-tuned frequency range of 70Hz - 1.4Khz and a corresponding +/- 12dB Tone control. These two can carve out the mud from a neck humbucker, add sparkle to a dark amp, create a thick scooped tone or even a cocked wah. At the core of the new Tribute is a high headroom buffer circuit that pumps the voltage internally to 18V, allowing a clean split of clean and overdriven paths without tone loss. When the Drive control is at minimum, you’re treated to the high headroom clean boost tone that can be used with the EQ. When the drive is increased, various levels of clean and overdrive work together to provide clarity and dynamics to the overdrive until the clean is mixed out at maximum. Combine these clean blended tones with the parametric EQ and there’s no limit to the Tribute’s sonic offerings.
