Catalan FM radio stations received near Warsaw in Poland via Sporadic E skip, a long-distance, but short living ionospheric propagation phenomenon, occurring seasonally. Distances around 1900km. Antenna: 6-element external Yagi, Tuner: Sony XDR-F1HD

Oh yeah, they have some big blasters there, like Rocacorba near Girona, or La Musarra near Tarrgaona and Barcelona ofc. But I cherish the local stations the most :) Thanks and 73s!

Witaj kumplu z Malty:) Catalonia is the most often appearing region out of all Spain here via SpE. And I have a sentiment for it, since I visited Barcelona once:) 73

Many thanks, happy you enjoyed:) It would sound even better if they didn't have such high audio levels over there. Couple of recordings didn't make it to the compilation because of too big deviation. Let's hope for strong signals in upcoming season:)

Hello, great your listening report, I admire. I think you are in an area where there are no powerful stations on these frequencies. Here in France it is very difficult to find a free frequency. I watch the OIRT band especially around 70 mHz I receive the Ukaine stations in Sporadic E. I do not know if in Poland the OIRT band is still used ??? Hello and many thanks for your comment. I hope you also enjoyed my compilations of France (there are 2: national & local). Responding to your questions: I live just next to Polish capital, Warsaw, so I don't have many free frequencies. Poland doesn't use OIRT since 2000. But Belarus still does, so I have a nice number of constant OIRT signals, even with no tropo. But this band is not much interest for me. Even in Russia and Belarus handly anyone listens to it. @@XPLORADIO Hello, yes I am happy to see that you received the station "Radio Coteaux" on 104.5 mHz in March 2021. The station is in a small village 30 minutes by car from my home! Do you use antenna amplifiers or have you already tried? cordially

@@jeantoto652 I don't use amplifiers. I rely on raw high gain of the antenna (5-7el. Yagis in my case). Amplifying would only cause signals overdrive and interference - I have too many strong local stations - as mentioned, Warsaw txs are just 25/30km away. Radio Coteaux was received in 2020 summer season.
