I enjoyed watching your video. Thanks for introducing me to some new sticks. I think you gave an honest opinion for people. I used to use the original lone wolf sticks. Used them for years. This year, I bought the LWCG Double Step sticks. I personally think they are the best sticks for size, weight, packability, and height.
Have they come out with new sticks yet? How about the Timber Ninjas? How did you like those. It looks like if they made some different standoffs, those sticks would be a winner. Thanks for doing all these reviews. I really rely on them a lot.
My buddy has a set and they are well made sticks. The stand-offs are not as generous as the EWO sticks but not as shallow as some others either. They come with cam buckle straps so if you are a weight junkie or don’t like metal in your straps you’ll need to replace them. Good solid sticks that are well built.
Thank you for this review. Any thoughts as to why some of these stick manufactures seem to ignore the importance of standoff? I wrote to two of them prior to their sticks even being released (based purely on photos they had published) about the obviously shallow standoff and they replied that it isn't an issue. I sorta rolled my eyes at that. I'm often in bulky, wet, muck boots (size 12) and it seems to me that it certainly is an issue, although I have not had an opportunity to personally test them. Even in their website photos/videos you can see them standing duck-footed and just barely getting the ball of their foot on the step.
These guys are up against weight, packability, and strength...trying to rob from Peter to pay Paul as best they can. I currently have been testing the tethrd sticks...awsome stick but terrible foot room. Absolutely terrible.
@@srtsaddlehunter3285 i wish I would have got the ewo Featherlite sticks. Instead I got shikar 22s which are sweet but hard on my hands. Going to have to file them sharp edges. Wish I had found your channel sooner. I did just order the ultimate 1 stick without a platform on top so I'll get to at least test out the ewo stand off room with that
@@paulcrave3112 oh no. The carbons are $110 each but I've seen them sell used for $150 each. The GWB are $160 each. I spent a bit less on those. Only set ive seen sell. I traded an extra 1 stick that I had for the carbons and sold them for $375 shipped with new daisys
