I would like to see other videos like this one, but for other ships. Like running this on a missile ship, just so someone who's building for a specific weapon type can see how to fit their ship for this kind of content. If you've already made this content, a link would be super.

I would still recommend Amarr Frigs to run t1-t2, they're tanky and easy to use with low skills. But you can't go wrong with missiles in Eve.. super easy later on to run ratting/security missions in a drake/raven in the future.

@@captainbenzie I just got the fittings this morning. I had to get my Power Management up to 5 to be able to use all the turrets, but once I did, I had a successful first run! They got down to my structure on the 2nd room (2 enemies) but I made it out with 12 Trigvalian Surveys.

I love running all these T1 destroyers in all sorts of content but my favorite is killing Clone soldiers in a 0.3 system with a 2M isk Thrasher. That particular fit is a dual prop, close range brawler. It uses 7x 200mm autocannon 1, 1x 5mn Compact MWD 1, 1x 1mn Afterburner 1, 2x Gyrostabilizer 1, 1x small projectile collision accelerator 1, and 1x small projectile burst aerator 1. The open mid slot has a few options depending on skills available. I can fit a Medium Shield Extender 1 with my skills but a small extender or a booster is also viable though its a bit tighter tolerance on the approach to the target. From day 1 you can start flying this fit and getting 2 ticks from belt rats pays it off. Its not as much payout as the tranquil abyss but its a lot of fun. one clone soldier tag pays out 2M so you are paid the moment of your first kill.

Why the two prop mods though? One for close orbiting, and one for rapid engagement/disengagement I'm assuming. I've noticed in doing some Level 2 security missions, that my destroyer with AB can have issues staying at good ranges... Or disengaging when the damage starts stacking

@@GeshronTyler1 usually an AB is used for speed tanking or maintaining constant speed (usually whilst brawling) whereas a MWD is used for short bursts of speed, like repositioning or kiting. Whilst you can only activate one prop mod at a time, having both allows for quick repositioning AND for speed tanking (since the signature radius bloom of an MWD means it is unsuited for speed tanking)

I have to say, while I didn't particularly like the Gallente designs back when I started over 20 years ago, I did like the "WWII-Flying Fortress" look of the Catalyst, Also the Algos... Tristan is pretty good...

The Maulus looks pretty good as well, as do the Atron and Incursus, I think those two got new models... The Navitas and Imicus, not so great...

@@GeshronTyler1I like that the Atron’s nose looks like it’s an angry screaming face running at you while sprinting at you. Which is pretty much how I played mine, I think at the time it was the fastest possible frigate in the game.

Nope. If you're in a cruiser, no fleet necessary. Destroyers and frigates need a fleet

Im noy a huge fan of the catalyst apoearence either but having used it in the Abyss i rnjoyed it. Not a fan ot the Disparu rooms i got multiple one day and it was rough, not so bad anymore that my skills are better. Ive lesrnec so much about abyssals from your videos sir o7!

Those were hangovers from copying it across. This will run most Tranquils, yes. Calm Gamma can be done but... With care.

with day one fitting skills, the 150mm prototype gauss might need to much CPU and powergrid, downgrading to 125mm should already be enough without losing ignificant DPS. Gamma filaments benefit shields, not just yours, but also the skybreakers. With above 200 dps, that doesn't make a difference, but running a 140 dps frigate instead of a 200 dps destroyer, just for the extra speed and extra loot will be difficult in gamma when it's quite easy and straightforward in exotic or firestorm. Electric filaments is where Amarr laser boats shine, but are also the most expensive, because who doesn't want to make use of the cap bonus...

I run our of power grid with the same fit but 6 turrets. What skills do I need to level up in order to increase the power grid ? I think I had all the relevant at 4 at least. Also I have 129 dps only. Are you sure you don't have everything at 5?

I have a few 5s here, yes. The actual DPS numbers I have don't matter. Lower is absolutely fine. If you have Powergrid Upgrades fully trained, also check out Weapon Upgrades and Advanced Weapon Upgrades

I do answer this in the video - higher resists to armour. That said, DC is a fine option as it does help the shields too.

I think the catalyst is the only ship i dont like. It looks so weird, like most gallente ships do. So i will stick to my corax, and even pump it up with t2 stuff. I wonder how far into abyss can it be pushed like that. There was one time i was hammered by a concord ship so hard that i thought i will die in the first five runs, but survived it. I also would like to visit pochven once, but its a whole another universe in its own, and the only ship i have covops cloak is my prospect. I would not like to die as soon as i enter. Also, did you know that the corax and raven are twins? As the word corax means raven, in a literal sense, from latin. Look at uniwiki if you dont believe it

This video was made in 2023 with no patches changing anything since it was launched. Abyssals are hard. This could be a player skill or SP issue.

Im finding fitting on this game extremely annoying i copied the fit im at 115% power grid 😂 also he has nearly double my dps and my capacitor will run out in 3 mins. I wish these newb fits people would do on newb accounts so the skills are close aswell

You don't need 100% of the stats I have. If you're over on Powergrid, drop some of the modules down to their compact versions. Sadly, I cannot set up accounts for every alpha skill setup, so numbers will be different - but lower DPS, lower capacitor etc will still work fine! I should explain this better in these videos!!

English is a weird language. For those who say it's pronounced (K-ah-sh) when spelled cashe, how do you pronounce cash? E's do weird things to pronunciations, take "on" and "one" for example. Wonder what the "e" at the end of a word tends to do to vowels at the beginning???? Also Benzie, @21:45 , it's dropping faster than your improve comedic career. 😂😂😂, just jesting my friend.

Oh look that is what the immature ganker was using who took out my Retriever that was tanked up in less than 10 seconds in High Sec when I was mining. I was mining Scordite, for bulk resources and thats it. The Concord Sec forces never even showed up. Tell me again why I would want to continue playing this game. A $1mil ship took out my $65 mil ship before I could even hit a button. I lost an Astero two weeks ago to an exploding Gurstis Bunker IN HI SEC as well.

Ahoy there! Welcome to EVE Online! Trust me when I say, I feel your pain. I suck at PvP, and I've lost literally billions of ISK in ships to PvPers flying considerably cheaper. The thing is, this is exactly what makes EVE Online special. I did a video about why permanent loss is a good thing, here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RnRoDaUMyxw.html As a miner, or really any non-pvper, you're prey, like an impala or gazelle. I literally refer to myself as an EVE Gazelle. Your job is to stay alert, plan for danger, and handle it accordingly. If you're mining, watch local, watch D-Scan. Don't take the risk, have a plan for the moment danger shows up. If you're really worried, fly with friends. This is what real life gazelles do, and it works here too. Yes, it's frustrating to lose a beloved ship to someone who's in a cheaper vessel. But believe me, there was something you could have done to survive. There always is. You'll figure that out, and eventually you'll reach a point where it's super rare that players catch you, and you'll love the feeling of giving someone the middle finger as you warp away laughing. I mean, check my Kikimora video at the end, you'll see what I mean! Or even my C13 video too!

@@captainbenzie I had that ship for 3 years when I stopped playing in 2014. Started up 2 months ago and now I have lost a Heron and an Astero to Hi Sec Gurstis Level 4 sites that exploded on me. The two gankers were in STEALTHED Catalysts that never showed on the scans. How are they able to take out a ship that was fully tanked out? in10 sec they killed my ship. Every ISK I made in the last two months was wiped clean.

@@alericc1889 why did you have all your ISK in one ship? Catalysts cannot warp cloaked, so they absolutely would have been on D-Scan. They're also VERY slow moving ships, with very short range (but very high DPS) weapons. For them to catch you like that, you must have been close to the warp in point.

@@captainbenzie Nope I was on the other side of the asteroid field, I save location on a far rock and warp to there then go to the other side away from the normal warp in point. No other ships were in the area I was all alone. They dropped cloak on me about 20 m from my ship on the OTHER SIDE of the Asteroid field as well and blew it apart. In ten seconds my Retriever was toast before I could even finish a warp out cycle.
