Resilience of food systems is one of four thematic streams in the 8th APAN Forum, which notes that resilience requires action across five enablers - (1) policy and governance, (2) planning and programming, (3) science and assessment, (4) technologies and practices and (5) finance and investment. In preparation for the Forum, this webinar has invited participants to share success stories and insights to catalyze transformative actions in the region’s food systems.
In addition, it served as a venue for fostering a shared understanding of challenges and opportunities to accelerate transformation for resilient food systems in Asia and the Pacific, as a foundation for discussions at the Forum.
Key objectives of the webinar are to:
1. Share success stories in strengthening food systems resilience in the region, such as through policy and technology innovations and regulatory, financial and investment frameworks that support transformative actions.
2. Identify and discuss key challenges, opportunities and recommendations to scale up transformative actions for resilience in the region’s food systems.
3. Invite perspectives on the outlook for food systems resilience in the region in preparation for the Forum.
