Bryan - I followed up Mads’s YT video on his news and the plan to buy your project by watching all of your videos. You are one hell of a guy and I found the story amusing, entertaining, informative and inspiring as well as humbling. Your genuineness came through every video especially the more difficult ones which are so much about real life. I truly hope that you and Mads can cut through the bureacracy of registration papers and seal a mutually beneficial deal. There are only a few individuals that could finish the Antares to a high standard you are one and Mads is certainly one of the few others, he walking into this one with ‘eyes wide open’, after his own somewhat extensive refit.😉 I wish you well exploring your new opportunities and the very best of luck with your new vessel.😀👍⛵️

The old boat. Still with you. I think of how I sold my C&C 30. I cleaned it top to bottom and brightened everything up. The broker said it was the cleanest boat he had ever seen. I scrubbed in the corners with a tooth brush, even in the bilge. What does this mean for you? Hmm! It's up to you. The boat you were working on. Clean it and everything around it. Simply wipe dust and polish what's there. It will help the eyes of those who will buy it to see the completion. Ok. I am done. Out of your business. Congratulations on your crossing the slippery rocks of life. I enjoy your videos and have been with you from the very beginning. Hire a team to help you clean. Maybe someone interested in buying it will come and help you, and you can pass them a deal on as they get their hands dirty. Also, you can pass on greater details to them. I liked the protection around the helm station on the new boat. It looks substantial. Waiting on your next chapter and good to see you again, Bryan. Cheers Tom in Riga

You just reminded me why I loved your previous videos...This dry sense of humour you have......I'm sorry you couldn't finish the cat ..But it was such a massive project which needed you free to work on full time with a roof over it.....and a lot of travelling if I remember...The project didn't fail because of you.. given all the circumstances it was impossible from the start.....Any video's you post in the future I will definitely be watching.....

Great to see you back Bryan. Unfortunately, boat building/rebuilding is very hard on every relationship and while building my boat I watched several couples and families fall apart. There is a huge difference in a boatyard project and a boat you can live on and enjoy while you work on it. I'm glad you bought a boat you can enjoy in the water. I have all of the Pardey's books and their first book changed my plans too. Back in 1975, after cruising for five years on a 40 ft sailboat, I went small and simple and built my dream boat. One important factor in their motto that they didn't mention is that neither of them is even 5 feet tall so a 24 ft boat was a LOT bigger for them than for 6'-4" me. And their 24 ft boat was really a 30 ft boat with the ends chopped off. (not literally, Seraffyn has a plumb bow, bowsprit, and a transom mounted rudder for no overhang). But before knowing that I went from a 40 ft boat to a 28 ft boat. I built it and outfitted it for world cruising and it turned out excellent. But the three years of full time work cost me all my money, time, and too much happiness as well as my lady. Then I was burned out and didn't enjoy living on a boat that was too small for me and so tired of always being broke that after sailing it for two years I sold my boat to a great couple who then sailed my boat all over the Pacific and Atlantic for many years. While I enjoyed most of the project and was very happy with the end result, I wouldn't do it again because three years of my life were gone just working on the boat. I would have been much happier if I had bought an older but larger sailboat so I could keep sailing while working on it. No, it wouldn't have been as perfect for me as the one I built, but I'd rather be sailing.... I'm looking forward to seeing videos of you enjoying your new boat as well as what projects you have to do.
@TheMarpalm

So first thank you. Thank you for your videos, not just because they were entertaining but because they were so informative and inspiring. Did I think “how the heck is he ever going to finish that?” multiple times- you betcha! But in the end I was inspired by your progress, the quality of your work and just how hard you were willing to work to move that project along. Wishing you huge good luck in your next project and as much as you can take us along.

Bravo bravo bravo! I´m so happy for you Bryan. You´ve just resolved the most important part now, which was to get rid of the mental blockage and be able to solidify a new or better road map. Any boat is good as long as it can take you wherever want to go. Put the starlink and you can work almost anywhere :) I wish I could have been there to give you a hand at some moments, but it wasn´t possible for me being at Spain. I´m very happy to see you smiling again. I hope you can update us from time to time, but no need to push it. I think YT could be another layer of stress above you when you feel the obligation to create content every week, so don´t be too demanding on yourself. If you allow me just a tiny piece of advice if time is not a constraint, I would clean and tidy the interior of the Antares. I think that would speed up the sale massively if you remove all that dust from the woodwork. A few hours of work well invested. BTW I have no idea what is the new boat. I´m so eager to know! I´m sure it is not a Gunboat LOL. I´ve missed you man, but I´m glad you are now exactly where you need to be. Take care amigo.

I will always remember the CAD sections you made for the bulkheads, that went together like a jigsaw puzzle. And the engine rebuild "if I can do it anybody can". Best of luck with the new boat. RI does get cold and storage is pretty expensive in NE. Hope you get S for warmer weather and lower cost boatyards. Seems we'll see you cruising late 2024 or early 2025 after the end of hurricane season.

Yes, cruising the NE until hurricane season is over, then moving south for the warm weather.

Sir, I'll tell you something, we already know that a Danish citizen will buy the scrap, CONGRATULATIONS, but I recommend a Rule of Life and it is Number 1 ⭐Rule 1: The less comments you make, the better it will be for you and if you DON'T SAY IT, NOBODY RUINS IT.

Don't be a tease!!! I enjoyed your energy and ressourcefullness in your video. You are right, go small and now or now-ish. I have learn sailing by going to the Bahamas with a 5k$ 30ft iroquois catamaran. Do you want a sailing adventure or a boat building adventure, choose carefully.

What about buying a cat through that charter company, who do a deal where they use your boat for like 5 years and you get like 6 weeks per year. Then after you own it and you only need to put down a deposit i think.
