Great band with a very underrated discography. Solid throughout. Their first album in particular is incredible, with this album being my second favorite.

I'm from Oulu tho I'm not living there right now. Job things. Oulu has a very specific dialect of finnish although some forms of "oulunmurre" has spread across the northern parts of finland, excluding lappland, where they also have very specific dialect. Finnish areas typically have strong specific dialects, so you are not far off.

Kalmah and Catamenia are both Finnish, hence the accent similarities.

Catamenia means "menstruation". The band didn't know about this until a fan pointed it out to them after the release of their debut album. Catamenia is also a genus of birds. from metal-archives.com

chorus rules, i dont hear that much kalmah in it. kalmah doesn't use tremolo riffs so much unlike these guys where almost every song has them. the rawness might be true though
