Snook are one of Florida's most sought after fish. In this video I share tips, tricks and techniques that will help you catch more Snook from shore, from a kayak, in a boat or while wade fishing. These methods will work for fishing with lures, live or dead bait. Most of the focus of this tutorial is centered around catching them during the day, but many of the ideas can be used for night fishing also.

The snook guides recommend live grunts, croakers, ladyfish, mullet, mojarra, or pinfish free-lined around bridges, docks and jetties at night for big snook. The snook feed best on the moving tides.

Not always freelined. Jupiter Rigs and fish finder rigs sometimes are must . Depending on the day.

What’s better socks or bridges we got both😢

@@jurassicjackgamingandstuff never heard of anyone using socks for bait but bridges are good places for snook.

@@jurassicjackgamingandstuff - big docks seem to hold more and larger snook. Marina docks are productive.

Awesome video JC, I fished South beach on Marco Island last week. I fished a jetty from the beach and caught snook on a spoon. I did the same in Naples, what fun. Great tips.

Thanks JC for another very informative video. You were talking about the importance of being quiet, I totally agree it's very important. But sometimes if you're lucky it doesn't matter. In June of 1979 I was fishing the backside of Emerson Point in a boat using live pilchards. It was about 10 in the morning and the bite was hot. My friend and I were catching snook in the 10-30 lb class every cast. After catching 15 snook, I look up and here comes 10 kids running for the water right where we were fishing at Emerson Pt. I was like are you kidding me. Anyway, I just kept fishing, kids hollering and splashing in the water, it didn't stop the bite. I proceeded to catch another 10 snook. I certainly wish we all could get a hot bite like that every time.

Hey bro that’s a sweet story. I’ve only caught whiting and lady fish like that back to back with live shrimp on the beach. I recently started beach fishing here on the west coast of FL. I used to always just throw them back. I badger the bait shop kids. Lol. I’m 33 and skipped fishing as a kid. Anyway found out that’s perfect bait and pins as well like someone mentioned. And was just googling and I should watch this video first but I decided to come check the comments for the answer to my question and is do you bow for snook like tarpon because man I lost hat would have been my best probably mid to upper 30’s and thick not a skinny one. Anyway chucked a cut lady way out about 50m and got slammed which was weird because most of the fish here run in the surf 10m off the beach. Anyway drag peelin and boom straight out the water at a perfect 45 degree angle shook that head like he meant it and that was all she wrote. Obviously it happened in seconds but should I have bowed? Sorry for this novel of a comment thanks to anyone in advanced! 🤙🏼

@@b0_y0ung1n I’ve caught many tarpon and always bowed to the king. So it’s automatic for me to bow to a jumping fish regardless of species. It decreases the pressure of the line and I feel increases your chances of landing the fish. I wish you the best of luck, keep fishing and I’m sure you will catch a monster soon.

So I joke and always say that I am an awful fisherman. Had a boat and sold it because I couldn’t figure it out. Tried taking my kids to docks and bridges and still can’t catch anything. Thank you for your detail in breaking down this science! Completely makes sense. I just bought 2 Sea Doo Fish Pros so my SOn and I can go fishing here in the Tampa Bay Area so I am going to try some of your techniques and see what happens!

Would be able to comment on why you don’t snook fish on the long incoming or outgoing tides? Is that specifically if you’re snook fishing or pertain to all fishing?
@RadReelingFishing
@RadReelingFishing Год назад
The vid is about catching more Snook. You'll catch them on a long slow tide, but you will catch a lot more on a faster moving tide. I'm just sharing my knowledge gained through the years. I've always caught more Snook on fast moving tides...If you watch the entire video you'll notice that Snook are ambush predators. They like to hide in areas and let the tide bring the food source to them. If the tide isn't moving very fast then there's not much of a food source coming their way.

Not a bad video for beginner snook angers. If you can show people how to catch Big snook in Inlets consistently, that will make you a living. Catching 24 ich snook around mangroves ehh anyone can do
