Sorry but if they were using a chess engine, they wouldn't have taken that long in between decisions nor would they have made the moves they made (there were better moves) plus you did miss a couple of things that were happening/didn't seem to understand - which is fine, we all start in the same place and learn from there. Plenty of kids cheat on this game though, at least they're thinking about their moves and not making the best move in robotic-like intervals.
