I caught a 10 lbs white bass/stripped bass hybrid. (aka whyper) Housetooth Reservoir, Fort Collins, Colorado. I used a chunk of good hotdog on a big hook. 30 minutes later, I lost my fishing rod. It was hilarious. 😅 The guy in the boat next to us said, quote "That fish is going to take that pole home and hang it on the wall for his wife. " I then used my father's pole with another chunk of hotdog. I tied it to the boat this time. Just in case. No sooner than I said, "I'm not gonna get that lucky again." I had a fish on! Long fight. There were 7 crayfish with my hotdog in the stomach, and I got two ~3lbs filets. Crayfish lure recommended...

I don’t mind at all, it’s an 8ft cast net It’s made by Betts. Make sure to look up deep hole cast net when you go to Amazon. It’s made with 3 inch wide webbing on the edges of the net. It will also have a 50 foot rope attached

My wife and I just moved to Piney Flats and we are new to the east Tennessee area. We’re trying to learn how to fish Boone lake. My wife came across this video on Facebook and we were wondering if you provide a guide service or if not, is there a local guide that you would recommend?

I’m glad you’re able to come across my video. I currently don’t do Guide services yet. I’m hoping to start soon. I would recommend Charlie Parker for Striper fishing. He’s the one who taught me and runs a business in the area providing Striper and Trout guided trips.

OK, striper rigging. medium heavy or heavy 7' foot pole? 20 lb braid? slider weight? 20 lb fluorocarbon leader? 200- 300 yd spool?

Bingo, I attach a swivel and Bead connecting my braid to my leader. Some people like to use circle hooks others prefer treble hooks

@@sethrichghost6335 Hey Seth, so I use a lot of different sizes based on the size of the bait I catch. You just want to make sure it's not too big for the bait. I also use a bead with the planer board so the board will stop and not continue to the hook. In the summer I will use two glass beads for down rigging because it adds an extra click the striper seam to like. Make sure the leader is one the length of both arms stretched wide. I have found that treble hooks are more effective when I troll and circle hooks are more effective for down rigging.
