I soak it the night before like you do beans then I boil about one hour, just enough so its a little soft and your baiting needle goes in easy. And also use it for my pack bait. @@TNRVG

@@TNRVG You're welcome. Tigers are a great bait. I use them a lot and have a couple tips for you. First, to answer your question, they don't hardly ever need refreshed. I'll use the same one all day unless it comes off during a fight. If you're lazy like me and leave them on and don't change them till the next session, crush the old one off with pliers. Pulling a dried up one off can break the hair. What you're doing with the drill and cork isn't necessary. I recommend topping it with a piece of rubber corn if you want it to have some buoyancy. The Rod Hutchinson ones that you got are the best in my opinion. Give Scopex a try. That's my go-to flavor. Tutti Frutti is also good. Between the tigers and the Rod Hutchinson hardcorn, that's about all I ever use for bait

I think they stay shallow. The sun warms shallow water up faster.
