30 lb power pro braid with 2-3 feet of 20 or 40lb mono liter is what I use. I also seem to do best with a snap swivel, it allows the spoon to move freely without twisting the line.
I like anywhere from 1 to 2 oz spoons depending on wind conditions. If I’m throwing into heavy wind, I’ll toss the 2oz. Best casting lure by far. Incredibly effective as well.
