Very nice view, but as anglers we still owe it to the fish to put them out of their suffering as quickly as possible and not let them suffocate on board... Be damn sensible with the animals..!! still a nice spot
Yes they do paul, there is studies on this mate, do a bit of reading instead of being stuck in your ways. While fish don't feel pain like humans do , they feel stress & this stress causes them to rot faster and their meat to taste worse, so not only is quickly dispatching of fish ethical it also benefits the consumer@@paullowell3342
As kids we used to do this up in MD at a train bridge for bluegill and perch to use as bait on our crabbing trot line as well. We’re fill four 5 gallon buckets in half an hour between the four of us.
It takes time to set and then they’ll have to untangle any fishes caught in it…however they’re catching them in the video is probably the most efficient way honestly. I mean 2/3 seconds per fish is awesome like catching bluegill 😂
Depends on what your intention is. I’d have much more fun fishing them like this. Also in some places a cast net is illegal, not sure where this video takes place.
You could try to make your own sabiki rig with more appropriate sized hooks for those yellowtail. Bet it would work well. I do that sometimes and catch several fish on one cast
Wish we had yellowtail like that a bit further north. I’m in Stuart and I gotta go south to get nice yellowtail. Thats one hell of a group of chum guzzlers. Lol
I watched an Indonesian (Bali)fisherman, line a kids plastic slide with grain. He held it horizontally to his boat and dipped it in the water with ropes. Like walking a dog. The fish were just like this. They went crazy and wiggled themselves up the slide onto his boat, that led directly into a giant cooler. He could fill it in a few minutes!! He’d fillet them and wrap them in paper. $1.00 a fish.
