First of all that will never dry up, I'm a Bahamian and I live near an estuary like that, they got caught in there by Hurricanes but the water level in there rises as tide rises so there's times where in there will be filled with water while other times it'll be low. There's tons of those ALL OVER The Bahamas I caught a 12lb Mutton Fish out of the one by my house!
@@chamberlainchronicales3147 Yessss!!!! The water isn't dirty or anything ya know. What's soo cool about the fish that's stuck in those little estuaries is that the water in them is brackish so those saltwater fish have found a way to live in almost fresh water!
To all the people who say “why didnt they save them?” That would be completely impossible. Come on. Saving even one fish would be a giant undertaking. Transporting a 10 pound fish ALIVE through that mud and all the way to the ocean? And as soon as they release it a shark could swallow it whole. Its nature people come on. This is like saying that the people who film lions hunting buffalo should save the buffalo.
@@SirPraiseSun yeah but both can be found in lots of ponds or shallow water. Tripletail are from the open ocean. Tarpon and cuda don't surprise me but open water pelagic species are damn rare in puddles or ponds.
@@comfortablynumb9342 intresting didnt know that triple tail hide more deep water, baracuda was small i guess n they roam shallow but the tarpon was a good ol size
To everyone saying these fish will all die. Most likely not. A lot are gonna live til the next storm and re enter the sea. This is a super common event on a tropical island
Literally! That was so much fun and I am laughing at these guys that thought we could have caught all those fish and put them in coolers and carried them out to the ocean. Clearly they have no concept of how far back we were and how impossible that would actually be. 🙄 Got a love the virtue signaling haters! Lol thanks for showing us a good time buddy boy!
tell me u live in the midwest and have never caught a tarpon or any fish over 4 pounds without telling me u live in the midwest and have never caught a tarpon or any fish over 4 pounds
When did they say they were? I wouldn’t be either. It’s the experience, and there is no saving the fish one way or another without taking them out and trying to get them out in the ocean without them dying before they get there (not possible). Best they can do is enjoy it while it’s there.
Good video, yes it sucks for them fish but its life and life sucks some times, Josh wasn't in the video but it was still good ( hope everything is good and you get better soon). I come for the fishing and it was a good video and glad to see something I never knew existed. Thank You for doing what yinz do.
Red tide killing fish around florida then you got stuff like this, I completely agree with the catch and transport back to the ocean. Would be much better to see these guys try to save them, rather than catch and release then allow them to sit and die.
They can barely WALK back here. Do you know how hard it would be to put them in a container and carry it out? You would have to do it one at a time and even that might be impossible.
@@alexwhite9066 sometimes the right thing to do isn’t easy. 🤷🏻♂️ If nothing else, they just tired out the fish for a vid and sport so they will die quicker.
@@brianlossen454 idk I jus said that lol I have had pet bass and been fishing for while fish can know when something is up etc idk if tides can get that high
Very unfortunate the reasons they were able to catch these fish but there is no way to save them. At least enjoy catching them before it’s over. Best thing would be to harvest them before they die for the ones that are legal to harvest. Tripletail is such a good eating fish!!
Because it’s Florida I think or some where in the east coast, it rains a lot and if there is another hurricane chances are some could swim out when it’s flooded
@@kisaragi_san1378 that’s true but I’m just saying that the Channel is evolving and I think josh is better because the videos are recorded like 2 months before and he took charger sharer fishing
