hey everyone,
So myself and Bill wanted to have a super easy session on this occasion. We went to the pier, which is never my top choice, but my buddy Bill had been struggling of late, and I really wanted him to feel the joy again of fishing. We weren't disappointed at all. loads of fish, a few bream to take home, and some really nice hounds. lost a monster one too, so theres a lesson learned there

Lol, mate it was a lot of fun, and some food too. Had to throw a flapper out there, those bream are definitely around now. Still not in huge numbers, and I haven't seen anything massive yet, but those big ones will be here soon hopefully 👍🎣🎣

Brilliant bit of fishing, so jealous. Well you can't refer to your self as a novice anymore. Catching fish on a regular basis, coming top in comp's, making and selling rigs, that work. Good job.

Another cracking session from another great spot on the Island , South Parade Pier in Pompey really should be ashamed when they compare it to other Piers these days , charge ridiculous prices per rod and the lack of any facilities for the fisher"people" is crazy , I live less than a 5 minute drive away and a few hours fishing by the time I've paid for parking and bait would probably run over 30 quid

An excellent session. Nice to get something for the pot & the hounds gave you some exercise. A win - win situation. Are there any garfish nearby?, they're reputed to taste good. I suppose the trouble would be you would need to take a float set up, which would mean more stuff to carry. Anyway, well done on another great video, I'm looking forward to the next one.

Thanks mate. It really was nice to get into a few fish. There are often garfish off the pier, and a few locally too. I have tried one before, and I didn't really rate it to be honest. I should probably try it again, just to make sure😂👍🎣🎣

Thanks buddy, I'm using daiwa rods, a tournament pro surf, and an airsurf. Both in the 13'6", and they are paired up with Shimano power aero's. I hasten to add, I have bought most of my stuff second, the pro surf I bought new. Hope that helps👍🎣🎣

Hey mate, yeah it was great fun, pulling them up from the depths. Some big ones out there at the minute. I haven't heard of any gilts mate. I know a couple have been had around Totland way, but I was told around Ryde harbour is supposed to be good for gilt heads. 🎣👍👍

Hey mate, we normally try to fish the flood, preferably getting the turn of the tide at the bottom, but if it's a smaller tide, it can be fished all the way through, just be careful of weed on the ebb👍👍🎣🎣

Unfortunately it's hard to leave fish alone when fishing, and no I kept the bream and ate them for my dinner, delicious they were too. By far the most sustainable way to eat anything. We don't eat meat at home, but the fish I catch make it to the table. May I ask why you are watching a fishing video, with that opinion.
