Dad and I go out fishing at a hidden pond and find the MONSTER Bluegill! They were loaded in the secret little lake! They wanted worms drop shotted onto their bluegill beds, and they wanted the bait just sitting there not moving. Have you ever caught bluegill this big?? They were some good ones for the frying pan! When I was a youngin, when them slabs got big enough to start growing foreheads, they graduated from being called a bluegill, to a bullgill.🤗

Don't get me wrong, I love big bass and crappie, But.... there's nothing betting than finding big gills on ultralights. I was so excited when I the bluegill in the thumbnail. My son and I really love your videos! We're rooting for you in the tournaments!

I must say I am a little surprised that you didn't throw some kind of bluegill imitation around the outside of those beds... For some larger bass, you just know that had to be there.

Great video,I love catching giant bluegills.. sometime when you clean them try it like the old fashion way you clean a catfish by slicing it behind the head and down the dorsal fin on both sides and use skinning pliers to pull the skin and scales off, then butterfly it down to the rib cage and then all the way through behind the rib cage to the tail. For those that like to eat the tail and fins plus big slabs of meat you have the best of both doing this method... Batter and fry.

I wish people would treat big bluegills on the beds like they would bass on the beds. Keeping the big males off the beds is the worst thing you can do to a population with big fish in it.

Yes it can for sure. They were done spawning for the most part. Hundreds of beds we fished had nothing on them.
