There is nothing better than pitting yourself against big fish with small tackle and line. Were you could get broke off or get spooled. It is fun and will get your heart pumping. Glad you did it and had a blast. Be blessed. My friend.
I will take what I can get. But imagine if there's a hurricane that flooded the pond and let the fish go wild here lol... We got similar fish called snook here
Using the Bone Voyage was a good choice, back in Singapore countless Barras have been caught thanks to that stiffer backbone that give the extra "Ooomph!" needed to bring them in.
Sup jimmy, been a minute.. they fight so hard, this was awesome just to see, bfs does have some serious gear, I'm so impressed, was that heavy rod? been a while, had another operation, see what happens, hope family well. Tyvm tc 🎣
Thx man. No that is a light tackle rod! The Bone Voyage BFS BVC634L rod. It's an impressive one, I also have landed big snakeheads with it! It's insane!
I can't imagine you using anything other than the FG knot with 50lb leader. The water looked clear. Some fish don't care if they can see 50lb leader, if the lure looks good they'll strike it. Also big fish will strike tiny lures. Having the Conquest drag clicker is great for video so we hear when the fish are pulling line.
@@rawrfishing I really regret not buying a megabass baitcaster when I had the chance.. 😭 Do you by any chance happen to know how the Daiwa SLP works 23 custom compares to the 23 Calcutta bfs?
I pike fish with bfs gear with a shimano 22 aldebaran bfs on a megabass levante F3-67lv it's a ML or the 6'4L legit design wildside rod when i can. It's so fun to get on a big one with light tackle and unless I'm throwing bigger than 1/2 oz to 3/4 I'm using my BFS gear.
@@rawrfishingI have some single strand wire leader but Im mostly using 30 to 50 lb daiwa j floro...I catch more fish with fluorocarbon vs wire leaders. I caught a 36in 15lb fat pike earlier this year with a 30lb leader...you have to check your line for nicks after each catch and re tie if necessary.
Haha, I just had this idea (Magnum BFS). I'm new to BFS and don't want to spend much, but I thought it'd be cool to use micro Mule rigs for the mix of Bass, Carp and Crappie that hang at my local laydowns. Check my rig: 7' Ugly Stik ML, and Abu Black Max 3 with aftermarket BFS spool...all in for
sounds like it is Power BFS time! Not sure if you can throw Mule Micro size lures with that. not familiar with the rod, but ML may not work for the little lures Ethan sells.
Thanks for the tip, maybe do a double rig with dropshot over jig. Either way, the Ugly Stick is a cult classic from my childhood, it's got a noodly tip with a ton of backbone. Can't wait to throw pond sized spinnerbaits and micro chatters on it. Merry Christmas yound brutha!@@rawrfishing
Bro, I’d be so scared to lose some of these #baitfinesse baits on the thin lb line on the monsters that you’re catching 😢 . Bait finesse baits are pricey 😂
Yep, you should be able to see the difference between. I use mainly gopro for pov shots. Rolls are mainly back camera of the phone and most of my vids are front camera of my phone if i vlog. Which is why my eyes are sometimes not at the camera as I'm staring at myself talk lol
If it was a scam it wouldn't work.....but here it is, working. Dont be a douche your whole life, if YOU dont like it then stfu and go follow a channel that does.more spin reel fishing
Right? Bfs is used for specific techniques. It got both pros and cons. If it fit your fishing needs, it is good. It's not a scam if it doesn't. It's a scam if someone lied to you and you bought into it. I have been extremely happy for using bfs!
