Unbelievable how big the bluegill/bream get in this lake. Some real East Texas stuff. Come along for the ride while we pull them out one after another!

That is an insane amount of fish for the time you spent. Honestly, I didn't catch a fish last summer. Guess I wasn't on the water enough. Late happy Fathers Day. And late Happy Juneteenth (you get the day off, I hope). - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown/Pimisi

Yes ma’am!!! Got the day off and as you see, we did some heavy fishing. They were biting left and right!! They fried well too! I hope your luck changes with the fish. Maybe try different spots and different baits… Good luck and tight lines!

@@BassSniper Thank you, Sir. I aim to shake things up a bit this summer. On the upside I saw a great blue heron up close and personal while I was on the Rideau in the middle of the city. It's nice to know the suburbs haven't taken over so much that we still get the local wildlife coming in for a visit... There's actually a beaver lodge just upriver from Parliament Hill. Those fish look like they'd be nice and juicy. Wonder what they'd taste like if you stuffed them with some fresh dill before the grill time... Good for having Juneteenth off. I was afraid it was one of those 'in name only' days. The country finally caught up to the spirit of the day. Cheers...

@@stevezytveld6585 awesome on the blue Herron!! I saw a bald Eagle in the 18th down in Corsicana. I’m glad the kid that spotted it knew what he was looking at because it would have flown past me with my back turned and I would’ve never known it was there. My family has always celebrated Juneteenth and you are right. It’s nice to see the country catching up!!! My late aunt would be so proud 🥲

@@BassSniper Yes, she would have been proud indeed. I stand in awe of her and her generation. All the generations that brought us to here. Amazing you saw a bald eagle. It must have been so graceful. Great Kid. Right now we have a family of vultures working the shorelines around here. We used to have some transplanted peregrine falcons but the female suffered a death by building. Her mate never came back. They'd occasionally fly past our balcony...
