I want to see the Royals when they played downtown the first few years, and I saw them play the first year Royals Stadium (Kauffman Stadium now), and it was a gorgeous facility. It still is. I've been to many major league baseball stadiums, and it has always been among my favorites. It'd be a grave mistake to build a stadium downtown, and the only reason it's being considered is the owners see dollar signs in their eyes. I live in CO now, and I will NOT go downtown except to see the Rockies at Coors Field. They only way I go to Coors Field is I can get parking at Coors Field with my tickets so I can go directly to the parking lot from the interstate and leave the same way. Otherwise, I would not go downtown ever.
