This video shows how to delineate a catchment from SRTM DEM tiles using only command line (PCRaster, GDAL, Python). More free GIS materials at IHE Delft Open Courseware: www.gisopencourseware.org
Hello, congratulations on the course. I was learning a lot, but at this point the instructions became very complex and I don't understand how to use the commands. Is there an easier way? or is it only possible with manual insertion of commands?
There's the PCRaster documentation and courses at www.pcraster.eu. Soon there will be an open course on PCRaster released. I'll post an update on the channel when it's ready.
The catchment operation needs as an input a PCRaster map with the outlet. There's a new video that shows how to integrate col2map in your script: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RgCVSX7hDYA.html Alternatively you can create a map from coordinates by using a NumPy array and converting it to PCRaster format with numpy2pcr: pcraster.geo.uu.nl/pcraster/4.3.0/documentation/python/reference.html?highlight=numpy#pcraster.numpy_operations.numpy2pcr
