Cate Blanchett really became more beautiful as she got older and her cheekbones....👌 A great actress, one of the best of our time. I really enjoy the roles she plays and hope that there will be more to come in the next years.
I ❤️ both films! Elizabeth saga was interesting. Notes was tragic and jarring. I dunno. As far as Notes is concerned, I can see why they didn't discuss it because of the subject matter. But yeah, agreed!
I think because she’s been in so many amazing films and had so many iconic moments that you have to pick and choose in order to fit the time they had to interview/how long/short the video has to be.
I could listen to her all day, so incredibly articulate and bewitching. She’s a living legend. One of the best of our generation. And she still has so many aces up her sleeve.
We live in a time when it's absolutely impossible to deny the artistic and social impacts of Miss Blanchett! She's a true genius, a great woman, an extraordinary gifted artist! We're so lucky to have her!
I really love when she's plays classy and emotional roles. It feels like time slows down when she takes her time to articulate a difficult situation. Tar and Carol are my favorites.
To be honest, she's probably the only actor who could legitimately play Hepburn. Not that there aren't other actors as skilled as her, but I genuinely feel she's the only one who could capture that energy. Although I think my favorite movie of hers is still Veronica Guerin.
I just love her! Not only is she a brilliant actor, but she seems like a lovely person as well. She has so many amazing roles, but my favourite has to be "Blue Jasmine". Every second of her performance is just pure genius!
Way too short a role for such a phenomenal casting choice. Maybe they could bring her back with her having beat the giant but now she's a bit burnt and really pissed off. Or maybe the battle just kept raging on til one of them got snapped and then came back?

I love the Aviator discussion. Was just thinking about that movie the other day and how underrated it is for how genius it was. Also, she will forever be Galadriel in people's hearts. what a perfect role for her to embody.
Ive always said people sleep on aviator. Ive seen almost every Scorsese film and definitely every Dicaprio film, and i think it's not so much underrated as its just under recognized. Its hilarious and deep and emotional and powerful. And its so ambitious and sprawling, it covers so much with so many side characters. One of my favorite films.

I love how Galadriel will always be Cate Blanchett to me, no-one will ever come close, but Cate Blanchett does not equal Galadriel alone for me. There are so many actors that get stuck in a role, not always by their own choice, but you just can't see them as anything else. Cate Blanchett is one of the ones that can always reinvent herself to the fidelity required to see the characters she plays on their own. The hallmark of a truly great actor imo.
I still love The Gift and Heaven. The latter underrated IMO. I remember them on DVD and just being enthralled with how different she plays the characters in each.

my personal favorite Cate Blanchett role is Marissa Weigler in Hanna!!! I loved hearing het do a southern American accent. it's one of the lesser known ones, but her and Saoirse Ronan were EXCELLENT

Quite literally my favorite actress ever since Lord of the Rings. I discovered her there and have loved her in anything shes in. Note. HER. Like all actors shes done some bad movies but she always did her best with the role. Also seeing her personality over the last decade or so when celebrities just "being themselves" has become a huge part of their appeal and realizing she is just a super fun person too is wonderful

Cate Blanchett has had such fantastic female roles. Queen Elizabeth, Audrey Hepburn, Galadriel, Hela and the Wicked Stepmother. She is like Joan Crawford. I honestly thought she was British but she's actually Australian. Fantastic actress.
