For me, Cate Blanchett is a life changing artist. Whether onstage, in a film, in feminism, in activism or in an interview she gives entirely to that which she is doing. So powerful is her intelligence that one can always observe her absolute commitment to her own life. By watching her I always feel quite enriched... also Ms Blanchett has a very spontaneous, kick-ass sense of humor. I ADORE her contribution.
I have watched Tár a ridiculous amount of times. Cate gave so much to that role, I don't feel like I'm watching a film.. it's like I'm peeking into places that I would never see. Experiencing the gray areas in Lydia's life. Is she a good person? I can't decide. And to top it all off, amazing moments from the from the orchestral pit. I think this is one of Cates best roles.
Thank you for this clip! Even these few words here show us how intelligent, poetic and extraordinary she is as an actress and a human being! She was always awesome in any of her films but in Tar she just amazed me on another level! Just stunning! I love her more and more.
I really like her as an actress…I rented Tar…she was good in it as were all the other people who had roles, but I absolutely hated the movie. Her character was shallow, self absorbed, had zero empathy for anyone except her daughter. The story was extremely depressing as was the ending. It was a miserable movie there was nothing positive about it at all. I have no interest in seeing a well acted horrible movie. It was dystopian and her character was a human Chernobyl to all who came in contact with her. ☹️
