Cate Blanchett was honored for the second time with Desert Palm Achievement Award, Actress from Palm Springs International Film Festival. Jamie Lee Curtis presented the award during the ceremony on January 5th 2023.
I went to the same secondary school as Cate in Melbourne, although we weren't there at the same time. However, a number of my teachers also taught her, and would all attest to her extraordinary talent already evident at that age. Also, likewise, during her time at Melbourne University, some of my acting teachers were friends with her, and would describe how people would marvel at her performances in the Union House Theatre there.
Now we all know that Blanchett has a phenomenal acting talent, but her being so humble, gracious (and downright gorgeous) - is so inspiring on every level - why am I babbling on? I love love love her!! 😘🤩🙏
Cate is brilliant. I have no other words, just brilliant. I cherish the fact that i live in her time. And we are pretty much the same age. ❤️ That is all.

I’ve seen many of Cate Blanchett’s movies and Tar is just riveting to watch. I’m watching it again for the dynamism she brings to the character. What a character study of a woman on the edge of madness from the devotion to her art.
