Why do the the universal propositions distribute their subjects?

In simple terms, universal propositions distribute their subjects because universal propositions have universal quantifiers, such as "All", "Every", "Any", "No". Consider this example: "All men are mortal". The subject term "men" is universal or distributed because it is quantified by the universal quantifier "All". I hope this helps.

So a Particular term is basically an indeterminate group yet the word PARTICULAR actually means 'pertaining to a SPECIFIC individual being SINGLED OUT from a group.' Yep. Philosophy.

when we say "Some students..." is indeed a SPECIFIC individual being SINGLED OUT from a group, yet WE DO'NT EXACTLY KNOW how many are they; thus, particular, that is, an indeterminate number of individuals. please note that "particularity" means 1-99 out of 100. please note as well that we are talking about "quantity" here. so again, "some", which is a quantifier of a particular term, means 1-99 out of 100. so, the phrase "Some students..." could mean 1, 7, 88...ect. i hope this helps.

The “Nuns are girls.” example could be a bit confusing, because “girls” insinuates younger, perhaps adolescent females. I think nuns are typically mature, fully grown women. By the way, should mention once again, excellent video and thank you very much.
