I'm loving the concept of the mic on the back. It's a very very good layout to track test them for the series. Perfect choice of cars. Love the whole ideas you've drawn to make all the circus happen! What a great space for it. It's the most wonderful position for invigorating a racing scene. Can remember watching Becky on the Red Bull in the WRC and the Irish WRC. She looked in reality like a racing driver in that BRM! She really did. She should start the race car for the Stig before his lap!
NO ! I do NOT share the excitement of the nose ! But the car in normal road specs with 13" wheels is nice. The new EV version must be a real joy to drive for us who have tinnitus.
@cameraprepper7938 If that's for me doesn't really make much difference, they're both the same to me, fast is fast right. As long as it's fast there's awe inspiration in it. Yeah awesome Becky, she looks really serious in these machines! Still whatever the weather I don't think these stooges actually look at their comment section. Us, you near a couple😴.
I used to own a Caterham and if I ever had to work at the weekend in the city (London) my journey took me through the tunnels under the railway at London Bridge. I loved flooring the loud pedal and setting off all the car alarms as I raced through before driving up towards old Bailey and being the subject of tourists photos at the traffic lights. I miss my old seven.
Ahh the stig. I did a track day a few years ago with 3 different super cars and 2 laps with the Stig driving me in an arial atom. Absolutely brilliant fun, and he/she kept in character the whole time.
Great Effort By Everybody @ The TopGear Team. This Caterham Seven 620R was the best of the lot in producing the best engine sound. Keep up the Good work TG. Umair Saif from Pakistan.
That was mind blowing my goodness it was suporved great experience so Loudon my ears still have a vibration even after the show was ending so amazingly thank you TOP GEAR thank you STIG and thank you car industry for making so wonderful cars ❤❤❤
Having worked for Caterham as a contractor, I was lucky enough to see the first of these cars rolling off the production line in 2013/14... Can confirm they are LOUD as hell with the side pipe on and they go like stink. There was a test at Brand's Hatch indy track on a trackday evening which i was at. The test car was sent out with a certain British GT champ whom promptly started dropping laptimes into the 51-52 second time.. where as everything else that night was doing around a 1.05 lap time 🤣 they are truely bonkers little machines.
Give Todero a call to bring the famous Guzzi V8 to the tunnel. Six cylinder Hondas or MVs of the sixties . And a Big Block CanAm racer to destroy the walls 🤯
Two lovers, forbidden from one another A war divides their people And a mountain divides them apart Built a path to be together "Yeah, and I forget the next couple lines But uh, then it goes" Secret tunnel!!! (Oh) Secret tunnel!!! (Oh) Through the mountain Secret, secret, secret, secret Secret tunnel (Oh-oh) Secret tunnel (Oh-oh) Through thе mountain (Woah-oh-oh) Secret, secrеt, secret, secret tunnel, yeah Oh I remember the last part! 'And die...'
Stig: * hits first set of downshifts Me: Oh okay, so that’s how long the tunnel is. STIG: *Pins it Me: Oh Stig: *2nd time downshifting Me: Wow holy moly that’s a long tunnel! Stig: * pins it AGAIN Me: ….. oh
Well, I do NOT share the excitement of the nose ! But the car in normal road specs with 13" wheels is nice. The new EV version must be a real joy to drive for us who have tinnitus.
Thanks @TopGear as Se7ens & tunnels do indeed go together like strawberries & cream😋👍🏻 However, may I be so bold to suggest I think you may’ve missed a trick🤔 For a sheer, euphonic, four-pot symphony on enclosed bitumen, the late ‘80’s/early ‘90’s 7 variants fitted with the old school Cosworth BDR ‘mill’ on twin Webber DCOE carb induction would, IMHO, be like comparing the current F1 power units to the classic 3.5Ltr V10’s. 👉🏻🥰👈🏻 If you’d like to compare, just ask😉
my ears are like butter with wax on a dogs tail with honey swagging around, AND I, have to lick / slobber te GOODNESS with PROPPER Excitement.!! Bluddy-hell that is GOOD STUFF!!!
I have always enjoyed the car and the philosophy that is the light weight caterham/lotus! that being said, that 7500 rpm redline isnt doing this car any favors as far as sounds go lol. as blaphpamous as it is to say.....this could use a high reving honda, would sound just as good...can get just as much hp. a k20 all motor build....or due to the light weight nature as is, it opens up a world of neater swaps....bike engines of any kind would be cool. 1L 300hp bike motor that hits 15k ??
