Whether it's a wheel loader, excavator or a shovel when loading any truck like here it should never take more than 4 passes to fully load. If it takes more, then the loader isnt big enough for the job and running inefficiently. This is a good example of how it should work and look. A very efficient operation right here and how you get max production.

Ken Jett under most circumstances I would agree with you, the only thing that needs to change here is a faster loader operator. It’s one this to take you time, but this is beyond that.

@@33100Gman yeah its possible this operator could possibly be a touch faster. But often times faster isn't always safer and he had a decent pace. Those machines are very expensive and although you can dog them and move faster you can prematurely wear out these machines. A tire on one of those wheel loaders i believe run about $6,000 trying to run full tilt tire repair for hitting rocks can get expensive. A steady productive pace over time is far better from a cost versus production standpoint.

Ken Jett yeah a tire on one is a lot closer to $30K but I know what you mean we run a few 992’s at our quarry it just depends on production goals.

@@33100Gman i had no idea one of those tires new was that much of course never bought one. All i had any thing to do with was just getting one repaired. But i have spent my life around equipment working in the oilfields but i did work a highwall in a rock quarry one summer. Most of my experience is with dozers pulling trucks, building mudpits and road construction/ well locations.
