One of the first CAT 390F LME in austria loading a fleet CAT 771D with blasted granite. The machine was from the Caterpillar training area in spain. Bucketsize 6,35m³ (8,3yd³)
The ball is used to break down bigger boulders.I didnt use ball.Instead,i place 1 boulder below and try to smash the other boulder into small pieces by throwing the boulder onto the boulder that i placed below.
I am curious of what u use the ground up product for? we do not have any granite rock in my area of PA. only sandstone and limestone--which we use it for in cement and for road beds. liked ur video.
BigJim57 granite gets used in a lot of highways and bridges where the higher density is needed for the traffic load. Asphalt, concrete, and road beds made with granite will support far heavier loads for a lot longer than limestone will.
I'm from PA myself near Seven Springs and Hidden Valley.. In the last 5 years a new underground Stone Quarry and a new underground coal mine started within 10 miles from my house... Pumping a lot of money into the local economy!
