Awesome lil dozer! I just bought a 1953 AC HD5 with a 2 way blade. Any chance yall could make a video on how to use a 2 way for cutting landings and roads ect? You would have AT LEAST 1 watch!
Man I sure could use one of those around my house. Do you think you could do a video showing all your equipment one day? Looks like you got plenty of old toys!
WELL! A dozer video from the now train guy! Hi, Pal! Glad to see Pap in the saddle. Bet he'll have a grin on that fuzzy face for a while after that! Fine running little tractor. I ran a 2 YEARS ago for about 15 minutes. Felt just like an old 4 with the spring springing and the blade staying flat. Just wondering if he was in the #2 notch. Pretty fast for #1 but it's been a while since I was in the seat of one. Pop is a smooth operator and I like grubbing stumps a site too! Hope all is well riding the rails! I've been doing some digging myself but ought to be done tomorrow. Just enough to stay limbered up but not too regular. Us old geezers like to work but don't want to be pushed! Take care of yourself and all those interesting machines you've got stacked around the home/20 and we'll be waiting for the next'un and thanks for This'un! (me)
Sure is a bummer that the rail riding panned out so quick but at least you can be there doing something really constructive. Seems like the more 'official' something is, the least you can depend on it. Like I said, I ran a 2 a little bit but a 4 a lot more and it had the same bounce, just a longer track frame. It's a little unnerving the first time that happens because I thought I'd REALLY messed something up, even though I'd watched the old sawyer/logger run it a bunch. He probably just wanted to see the color drain out of my face. It did! But Pop has a fine old tractor there and you can give him an A-PLUS from me. I've been running a worn OUT JCB hoe that everything leaks down or off (not out) but the main boom. But anybody can run a new one! Just take your time getting used to 'civilian' life again and God willing, I'll be right here!
Wow just love watching your videos and watching you and your dad run that d2 he looks hea having fun lol! Just wanted to comment again how much I love watching your channel!!👍😁
Never got to run any old cats but been behind the controls of a few international TD9 through TD15 dozers and a HD5 Ali's Chalmers all great old hard working machines. Not sure I would even know how to operate a modern machine. Lol But given a chance I expect I would figure it out.
Reminds me of the old MF backhoe we have at work, we would just push trees over all day long with it. Doesn’t run anymore sadly. And it’s too bad cause it’s a hell of a machine when it runs. Squatch if you want a restore a backhoe and feel like coming to New York to buy it let me know😂
looks like lots of front end going up in a hard push,,,,are you sure your cross member has its shackles in good condition? i was getting lots of that until i found my cross mount at mid side frame had pins broken out of the shackles,,,,regards,,,and thanks for video
Well the field looks good. I just have one question do you use the hay that your going to get off that field? I didn't know if you had cattle to feed or horses, or just raise it to sale?
The guy on the dozer is my hero, so cool you guys operate these dozers in 2017 and film and upload for us. Have you considered a gopro on the blade or front end to show different perspectives, also new to channel but would love a once over with how you operate it
