Two things. Think it was left track. Might need to tighten up a little bit. Never trust them flappers over exhaust pipe. I like plastic coffee can. That thing looks and sounds super healthy. Awesome.
Michael, That dozer is a cream puff! Straight as a pin! One of your many qualities is how you treat all of your equipment. It will last forever. Thanks for your vids.
I was wondering how long it would be until you had some videos of her. I watched your other video last night. We still need another visit. Life has just been a little crazy lately.
What a nice machine you got there! Sounds just like my 977H that I use for my occasional logging projects! Absolutely love this generation of machine, simple yet very durable! Thanks for posting, hope to see more of her!
The sound of that old 3306 engine sure brings back fond memories. That motor was in D-5’s through D-7’s and in marine applications up to 250 HP with dual turbos. I know two guys who stuffed them into Ford F-250 pickups. Of course they were both Cat mechanics. Go figure…
I have heard it said a 6 is good at everything but not great at anything. Too small to be great at big cat work and too big to be great at small cat work. I don’t have a root rake.
You should be careful when using a winch on this bulldozer. Unlike hydraulic winches or some PTO winches dedicated to tractors, those from bulldozers do not have a clutch or any overload limiter, so the drive unit is exposed to damage in the event of overload, which can usually be found out after a failure.
What you don’t see is this whole area is going to be different after things dry out and I really get to work on it. The key to stop erosion will be to slope and ditch to drain the water away from the fill. This spot doesn’t get much runoff to begin with. This spot has endured two winters mostly the way it is without any considerable erosion.
A few videos a go you said it upsets your mom when people don't get your name right . So I guess we could call you good old Mr Wilson . will that pass for your mom 😂
I think you could probably get away with that. Although her computer is broken right now so I think you can get away with it just about anything now. At least temporarily. 😁
A flat spot is one thing that is missing on this property. I need a place to turn things around, park things, and maybe put my sawmill. I explained it a little in one of my videos about a week ago about killing bugs.
