Our family farms in Illinois,Cats headquarters is in Peoria Illinois. We bought a D4 in 1953,and farmed with it for years,it had a blade on front, and the arms could pivot, and pull a four shank ripper in back.By the time I came along we used John Deere wheeled tractors, whose headquarters are in Moline Illinois.Even the D4 could move alot of dirt, and knock down trees with seeming ease. One of my cousins fixed it up,and repainted it a few years ago,it now is enjoying a well deserved retirement. Its nice to see that people around the world can benefit from the tremendous things that Cat equipment can do. Thanks
We’ve got a d8 in the shed but hasn’t moved since we got the rubber track, had one of those macvoy mole ploughs as well but not for long as the wheels are too close together. And would try and tip over if one leg wouldn’t come out.
Very tidy D8. I firmly believe that the 46A woods equipped is one of most stunning pieces of industrial design ever conceived! Thinking this is a 14A or 36 in immaculate shape! Thx fer sharing! Cheers fro Santa Cruz ca
Good Evening George, First I would have to take them earmuffs off as I just like that tune lovely thank you very much George looking forward to more the same.🚜🚜⭐️⭐️👍👌

I used to operate all sorts before my latest stupid.accident. Can hardly walk now. Can't even climb up into a 360. So I'm convalescing at home. Watching RU-vid. I'll catch up on Mukka"s channel too. All the best.
Years ago we had on working on Leiston aerodrome, (RAF Leiston) Kept hitting underground lumps of concrete & big old lumps of metal,, Kept pulling the leg of the back of the mole!
Great video, no computer, no DEF just this sweet ol girl turin diesel fuel into a sweet sound. The purpose of that mole is to aerate the soil I'm guessing?
She sounds proper ,engine an turbo whooping the grounds ass, Wow,beautiful bit of kit, Good job done George, Perfect footage, cracking sound she makes, pretty much on tick over, the ole girl done everyone proud, didn’t even break a sweat..Thanks for that, Best footage I’ve seen in a long time.
Anno there's no cab and all the rest of it but how many thousands would you have to spend to replace it... what a great tool when the weather is good....👍
George this brings back many memories I was regularly doing this mole draining as far back as when I was 16 years old, during the 60's infact we used to do this nearly every year (No land lakes then) lol. But I used to do it with Ford County and Track marshal crawlers pulling a single leg Ransomes mole plough. Sense seems to be coming back after all the land flooding. Great video George
Just wanted to say that video was amazing fabulous I sat in my chair with a fox's rocky chocolate biscuits and a cup of Yorkshire tea And I enjoyed a great video 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Oh yeah someone mentioned your Belarus - trade it in for an old Cat like that - winch blade and all! Or maybe, trade in the Fastrac🤣 instead and get a D9!
Nice mole cat D8 bring back the eighty still need Concrete poker back of the Legs scoffhold tube vibrate swings round on Headlands need plates Bolted on tracks if wet Best Pussey seen better Then one on round about 😂😂
would the D 8 be to heavy for the trailer ? i suppose the fast track could manage it ok probably still be going end of the century , no satnav required
What kind of home-made looking contraption is he pulling behind the D8? it appears to have absolutely NO down force, other than the weight of the I-beam, and yet the D8 seems to have problems pulling a TWO shank ripper, working at the depth of what appears to be 18-24 inches, with a 'mole' on each shank. English 'farming' practices involve a lot of useless action, and the first half of this video is NO exception.
