Many thanks! I lost my manual sheet (really is a sheet!) for my Velo 8, and I'm old anyway and can barely read the micro print on them! Much faster watching somebody do it!
Thank you for this informative video! I've only been a bike rider for 40 years, and have used dozens of different bike computers, but I couldn't figure out the useless CatEye instructions for my Velo 8. Keep up the great work!
YOU ARE MY GREAT! I spent an evening with the manual trying to figure out it way of presentation until i found your video . !! thanks a million from Greece
Does it not matter at what point on the spoke you place it? Surely if you put the sensor closer the hub you would use a wheel size equivalent to the circumference of the place you put it?
These Cateyes are great for what they're designed for. The batteries last for ages. I've got a Cateye Mity 3 from 21 yrs ago - it works fine. The Velo 8 is an improvement and good too.
THANK YOU! I couldn't understand ANYTHING of the instructions that was included with the Velo 8. This made so much more sense! Thank you! I'm going to check out your other videos now :D
If you have already set this up , is it possible to change from KM to ML , without having to go through the entire set-up again? i.e. On stage one, when pressing back button,,will that be the operation completed ?
Thanks for the informative video lesson. Now I have A question. My computer isn't working. My friends tell me there's a battery in the sensor that might be flat but I can't see how to open the sensor. Does it need a battery and if so how do I do this? If there isn't a battery in the sensor, what do you think could be wrong?
Hello Mr. Bikeman, I love... love your videos! thank you for all your help becuz we need these videos for dummies, we are all dummies :) haha... I got a velo 9 yesterday and I set it all by myself! ha I'm so proud of myself..... All cuz of your videos thank you again and happy riding!
I still use my old Velo 8 and I am happy with it. Now I bought the Cateye Micro Wireless Night Mode - do you also have made a video about these settings?
My Wireless only seems to work when it feels like it. There appears to be neither rhyme nor reason to its behaviour. Even the disc has been carefully BluTacked to the spoke as an added fixing, and correct distances between disc and transmitter/ reciever have been set.
i will unmount my wireless. Last time again it was shwoing abbout 10 km more than on my Velo 8 - and my Velo is well calibrated, always correct, and always same results as tracked on Strava and Sports Tracker
Hola hombre de la bicicleta!!!, muchas gracias, tu video y la explicacion son espectaculares, muy didactica, me ha servido mucho para calibrar mi cateye velo 8!!!, saludos y felicitaciones.
It's a nice demo. Thank you for that. I am using a VELO 8 for my anemometer. Let me ask a doubt; how can I select a different wheel size than the default [205]? Other sizes given in the VELO 8 are not able to select by long pressing the front key. Have anyone used this setup for wind measurement? I am completely stuck here.
Nice video. I have a question though. Why there is nothing saying what distance from the rim of the tire you have to mount the sensor/magnet? I believe that if you mount the magnet close to the external rim there is a speed readinfìg, mounting it closer to the center of the wheel there is a different reading. This because the computer works with the pulses created by magnetic field variation inside the sensor. Then, at same speed, if magnet/sensor are mounted close to the center of the wheel, the frequency of magnetic field variation is higher. If magnet/sensor are mounted closer to the tyre, the frequency of magnetic field variation is lower. There is nothing written in the instruction, and i could not find anything that says how to. I hope you can find the way to let me understand that. Thank you
I have a 26 inch wheel and now a 2.0 inch rubber tire (before 2,1") and my circumference of the tire is now exactly 206 cm. So I have set now that flashing number in brackets to 206 and hope my computer is now set correctly again. But how do I know if it is set to mph or to kph?
my tire is 700x 32 or 28x1 1/4 x 1 3/4 what number in the [ 205 ] do i need to set i have a cateye urban wireless ccvt220w but you set it the same way as the model in the video
We explain all this in the video... Did you watch it??? One more thing, what does your name mean????? Shall we never FORGET on this HOLY DAY.... GOD BLESS AMERICA
