I was lucky enough to see Catfish and The Killers on the same day at a festival in Spain last year. Catfish played at maybe 6pm, Killers at about 11pm... And Brandon brought him on stage to open this song! Absolutely made my night

I must admit I cringed when I heared his fumble on the radio this morning.... but watching it here it's not so bad. Excellent recovery! Why he ask for permission to carry on? It's almost like he doesn't know that he's owning it and can do whatever the hell he likes :)

the reason that van made a mistake was because he originally planned to sing 'are you gonna be my girl' by jet, but triple j said no because no one is interested in jet anymore, so he had to learn this song quickly and he barely knew the lyrics but nonetheless he made this song sound so unique and different to the original, it's so refreshing to listen to. he is a musical genius
