Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Chartres 

The gothic Notre-Dame de Chartres Cathedral in Chartres, located about 80 kilometres southwest of Paris is renowned as one of the most beautiful and historically significant cathedrals in Europe. It is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and this is easy to understand once you see the intricate Choir Wall hidden behind the cathedral’s altar. The wall wraps around the inside back of the cathedral and contains some of the most detailed sculpting we have seen in any monuments in Europe so far.
