now THIS is the real enemies to lovers 😍 watch in HD !! series: the great #thegreat #catherinethegreat #fanvidfeed #ElleFanning #NicholasHoult #Netflix #edit #fmv
This show is just brilliant. The acting, the plot, the characters and their relationships. Catherine and Peter are dysfunctional as a couple, but they’re so charming and make you root for them. And the whole setting of the show gives me hope that at the end they will figure it all out and will live happily ever after. As a russian, I was a little afraid to see how the screenwriters rewrote the history, but at the end i fell in love with this show. Thank you for this amazing video!
@@PraseSuperStar i know, but at the same time we know that he was killed during the coup. But in the show Catherine has already become an empress. So maybe there’s a chance that they will keep him alive? Idk, maybe fake his death or smth and after that name him as Catherine’s favourite and only a few will know the truth. I just really don’t want him dead
I‘m a russian and I know russian history well enough to understand that the facts and events here are more like an anecdote about russian history. But at the same time, it's amazing how deeply the authors see the personal qualities, views and relationships of the characters. There really was a lot of cruelty, formalism, farce and hypocrisy at that time. Toxic relationships often was a normal way. That's why it's so fascinating to watch a flower grow on a pile of manure. How everything turns from really hatred into fragile and sincere tenderness. Thank you, this couple is so weird and wrong but beautiful. And i love the episode when Peter ask her to dance with him ❤️
I love the character development of Peter ! He has changed so much since season 1. I am glad they kept him alive it would have broke my heart if he really died
from "woman are for seeding, not reading" to "have you ever noticed Catherine's eyes? her hair? it is very gold, like the sun." His development is immaculate 😭
@@viciousvale4678 Okay but its character development nonetheless, just like how my dad went from abusive to realizing his wrongs and becoming caring, that is development and I have to give him credit for changing himself. We're not saying "ohmygosh he's so hot I want him as my husband", we're saying "his character change was good". Two vERY different things
@@DelusionalGoldfish AMEN, very well said. We acknowledge growth and development and more importantly, we support and encourage it. Anyone who's stuck in their old ways and do not believe in growth is a huge red flag for me.
Oh how I never thought I will ship these . The writers have done a brilliant job in bringing these two together. To see them fall in love amazing. People who are complaining about historical accuracy, the director in the opening clearly writes this- occasionally a true story. It’s not pure based on Peter and Catherine. It’s a satire
Great job! I can't imagine this series without Peter. I mean, he has to die at some point. I think that's when I'll stop watching. It is the back and forth between Catherine and Peter that makes the series. Perhaps they'll change history? I wouldn't object.
it seems like the same case as mary and francis in reign, what made the show was the will they/wont they between them two but once he died the show lost its spark
remembering season 1 peter made season 2 peter so hard to love for me! watching catherine fall in love with him slowly was really interesting, though, and it was a cool character choice.
Freaking show is amazing! Like I don’t even mind that it’s not historically accurate this is the best show I’ve seen in ages and everything from the dialogue to the plot is so well written
This has to be the best Catherine the Great and Peter video on here. It really captures their dynamics and made their plot lines even better. I loved it!!!
I haven’t watched this show, but I HATE toxic relationships so I don’t ship them. However they do seem to have cute and sweet moments, and it seems like he became a better person
I don’t think their relationship was toxic. Catherine was happy to marry Peter but after she found out how he is !! She started plotting against him. As Peter he has the greatest character development ever. Catherine beat up Peter , imprisoned him. Even tried to kill him. Both of them grow so much . So I never think they were a toxic couple.
It’s so weird that people romanticize stuff like this. They’re literally hitting each other like it doesn’t matter what character growth there is, that’s just violence. Why would u wanna be with a person who did that 💀
THIS SHOW IS A GODDAMN MASTERPIECE THAT I THINK EVERYONE ON EARTH SHOULD WATCH !!! the comments pointing out the contrast between catherine/peter's characters on season 1 with season 2 is just mindblowing. i really did notice catherine being more full of rage and violence in season 1 and peter being considerate & choosing his heart over his head. i just think this show deserves billions of awards as it is written, created incredibly plus all the actors are beyond talented. elle fanning ang nicholas hoult's chemistry is truly too strong and i wish they make more seasons. and even more projects for elle and nicholas as partners again! 100000/10 !!!! cannot wait for season 3 :)
I love the show. Its amazing. Their chemistry makes me forget how Katerina HATTTTTTEED him.Its so inaccurate... but.. the show is so good that it weaves a story that is wrong but we want to see turn out well. How they pulled this off is freaking incredible. I can't wait to see where t hey go from here. He should be dead by now. She should be deep in her affair with Orlov before Potemkin. Its a testatment to how good this show is that my nit picky butt seaks out amazing fanvibs like this. Its gorgeous. The way you can translate the shows love story is so beautiful. I can't wait to see whatever else magic you make
Honestly , wasn’t weird just different but in a very unique and honest way they was both fighting against each other beliefs but than as they were more and more competing with each other they learned they can’t live without each other because through all that so called saying they don’t “ love each other ” they did and understood each other better than anyone else did 🥰 love their relationship only it was a lot of sacrifices they both made to keep their burning love going she notice she wasn’t really thinking right about him , he wasn’t a jerk just misguided and came from terrible parents but she guided him to being better and for her he opened her heart to many things not just considering the right things 🤣🗣😍😍😍🥺🥺🥺💯 .
This video is almost misleading because of how serious the background music is, but this show is hilarious and very light over the darker undertones of overthrowing Peter.
I know she technically did it first but... when he shot her bear and she walked across the room to slap him in the face I just thought "ooooh, she pullled a Will Smith!" 😂👌
How did they kill that bear so quickly and easily? I've never seen the show but I do know that real grizzly bears are like tanks. They can take some ammo point blank and keep going.
Being a Russian, I should say this is the weirdest show about Peter and Catherine the Great. And it s so different from Russian series based on these historical figures.
I’ve never seen this show, but I find shows and movies like this funny because they depict these people as ethereal and clean when they didn’t even bathe LMFAOOO
* Spoil Alert....... Giving you a chance to not read this and watch the show because it's good. After he had sex and killed her mother idk HOW anyone could possibly over look that like forgiveness can only go so far.
Tbh he didnt kill her she accidentally fell down, it was never his intention to kill her. What we learn from this is that we should stay away from windows when we are having sex. Its a great lesson i think.
I didn't expect to get choked up about this, but I definitely did. The character development of both characters has been a complete joy and I'm so happy the mains are getting accolades for this! As most people, I HATED Peter (bless you, Nicholas, you're so fucking good at playing this type of character tho) but the more he softened up, the more it became OBVIOUS he wasn't just in lust, the softer I became about him, This show has been a fucking roller coaster of emotions, but I never want to get off of it, thanks. Love the video but I was sad that I couldn't hear some of the lines under the music! Makes me feel like I need to re-watch! The ending was so devastating when she thought she actually killed him and she was sobbing, then so relieved it wasn't actually him. Complex AF.
I have just realized Marial was the worst character she betrayed Catherine to protect herself but said that she did it to save her and when finally Catherine was having a good relationship with Peter she tries to ruin it by telling her Peters secret which in a way made them stronger anyway loved the series I want more like this
This series has it all! You got enemies to lovers trope romance, comedies, drama, the amazing plot, beautiful and accurate dresses based on their timeline, beautiful sceneries, the casts are perfect and many more. I seriously can't wait for season 3 after how the show ends from the previous season. Will not stop raving about this series!! Hopefully they'll continue on with a lot of seasons to come because it would've been ashamed not to.
What was that last scene? Slits someone's throat, I thought it was Peter, cries that she kills him and then realizes she hasn't killed him and embraces him. I've never seen the show so I'm very confused.
Eventhough she changed him She shouldn't have been with someone like him cause the point is that your partner is good from the start not that you change him into good and you shouldn't be with someone who treats you badly even if he changes cause he still treated you terrible before
Well.. this show is way too far away from real Russian history. Actors are great. But most of facts and situations never happened. In reality there were more cruelty. Anyway, Peter will die, and Catherine will become one of the most powerful queens in Russian history.
I didn’t really enjoy the first season, but the character development for them both has been so spectacular in the second season that the show was completely redeemed in my eyes. I’m so excited for season 3.
ela foi tão iludida e cheia de sonhos.... e no fim sofreu demais por esse tirano que ela chamava de marido.... ainda bem que ela deu a volta por cima e assumiu o trono
She rejected het Germanic roots, accepted new name, new religion, proclaimed herself Russians and spoke in Russian language better than most of her Court. And was one of the most successful monarchs in Europe of all times. Spoiler: she hated Peter III. The love story is all fiction.
I really hope they change the story line and keep Peter alive all the way thru live give character it wouldn’t be that successful without him it’s like a pair that you wanto see
Just finished watching this show and loved every moment of it from s1 to s2. I was so invested in the last episode of s2 that I became shocked when it finished it was so good. I'm a sucker at period dramas and now I'm looking forward to s3
I remember I watched this edit along with another when this first came out. I’m just awaiting the next season. Even though they even poke fun about how it’s “Somewhat an Occasional true Story“ I feel this show is the truest without realizing. How you can find love in so many things, even if it’s the biggest burden upon your heart your willing to carry. Showing the brutal honesty and fragility of every character unfold. And everyone can relate to each character in their own way. I love how each person kind of has a metamorphis and becomes something new whether it be good or bad. It shows you can become a villain even if you have the purest of hearts or a villain can change into something greater than they’ve ever encountered surprising themselves and maybe everyone and the world with it. The show is also very empowering. You can do anything you put your mind too if you try and if you fail you stand straight back up again and make a blank slate. Also they define love in the most short but profound way really. “A great love...is a flawed one“. One of my many favorite lines. I just wanted to mention I adore this edit ♡︎♡︎♡︎ In a way I think the show made the viewers feel like Catherine. Peter is brutal and realizes after he knows his self that he never found and he softens around Catherine becoming her great love, you see the tenderness of him and put what he’s done in the past because he grew from a small branch into the big beautiful Evergreen she wanted. Even if it took time for them both considering everything that went on in the palace and with her mother.
The relationship is just soooo toxic. I don't know how everyone can still like their relationship. Anyways, where can I find this kind of relationship cause I want one. LOL
