It's interesting that the Hollywood definition of diversity is always a black person in background. The brown or east Asians are not even worthy of that even though they'll be far more accurate for Russia (Iranians, Tatars, Siberians etc). It's almost a fetishization at this point.
Actually Orlo is one of the most important characters and he is played by Sacha Dhawan who is of Indian roots. Also you have arkady in the court and also rostov. So it’s not just a black person on the background. Have you even watched the series?
