A demo of a cathode-ray tube (vacuum tube) with a Tesla coil and a weak magnet. The magnet is easily able to move the cathode ray around. Music: "Alone" by Emmit Fenn ketzbook.com #CRT #ChemistryDemo #ketzbook
I don't get how this works in this demonstration. This shows only cathode end bein connected to anything. Nothin else is connected. Why electrons decide to flight out towards the anode? Or are they flying out in all directions, but are visible only where they hit phosphorous?
@@ketzbook Hi, do you happen to know why the anode is way over at the other end of the tube? I mean I get that it attracts the electrons over, but it's just that in my physics book it showed the anode as being right over at the side of the tube near the cathode. It also showed the anode as having a hole in it for the purpose of channelling the electrons early on in the tube.
