Thank you God for you to have this clip on right at this time. I have been trying to offer a tiny bit of my suffering: coughing. I was about to drink some water but I have decided to offer to my neighbor who is in critical condition and hasn’t going to confession in years, don’t go to Sunday mass, online only. But he goes to daily masses. He also married a Protestant and stopped attending Catholic Church in years before this year. This clip is an indication I am going the right direction.

And maybe he could add the evil of receiving communion in the hand, talking and visiting and playing on phones or texting in the church and treating it like it were social hour. So very little reverence for Our Lord today. No humility, people come dressed as if they were headed out to Walmart or the beach, and if you say anything you’re being “judgemental” , forget about offending Jesus, this is just how “I” like to “worship”. It’s all about “me” nowadays.

@@waynenoll1967best to notify the priest. My priest has in his bulletin a message regarding that the Lord is present in the Chapel, and proper decorum, reverence is expected. Most people dress nicely, and are quietly reverent. New comers, after awhile, adjust. No one needs to say anything. We learn alot by visual example.

Don't describe it as sweet, like a child who only knows how to argue, because it's not true. I've felt this feeling once and I can't even breathe.... I asked God to never again be able to see what shouldn't be seen. In my opinion, it is inconceivable to try to understand and describe beings that have to adjust their appearance and power just so that humans don't become paralyzed and can talk to them. Daniel 10:7-8 And only I, Daniel, saw that vision. The men who were with me did not see her; Yet great fear fell upon them, and they fled and hid themselves. So I remained alone to contemplate this great vision, and there was no strength left in me; My countenance was changed into corruption, and I had no strength.

Acts of Penance: Consecrating yourself daily to the Blessed Virgin Mother. Saying the Rosary for the salvation of souls and the Holy Souls in Purgatory. Giving donations to the Church and other organizations (Pro Life). Praying praying praying. Fasting and NO meat on Fridays - ever. Going to the Adoration Chapel if one is nearby and spending an hour with the most Blessed Sacrament. Going to Mass and offering the Mass for the conversion of sinners (salvation of souls, including your own). Purchasing a Mass for a particular individual, especially a deceased member of your family or someone who you think isn't being remembered. Visiting a Cemetery and praying for them - even when passing by a Cemetery blessing yourself and saying the Requiem prayer - "Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and may Your Perpetual Light shine upon them, may they rest in peace." Purchase a Pieta which has beautiful prayers and say those daily. Hope this helps. May God love you and yours into Heaven!

The way to offer up a suffering is simple (and hard.) When you suffer, don't complain about it. Remember Christ's suffering and thank Him for the opportunity to share in His suffering. An example - someone cuts you off in traffic. Don't call them names, pray for them. I looked after a man who thanked God he had been paralysed because he was saved from the opportunity of sin and could offer up his suffering for his family and neighbours. Also, for years I thought my Granny drank weak tea through choice - turns out she liked a strong cup of tea, but they were poor, so she took the weak tea so her children could have a proper cup. Basically, if you are inconvenienced, insulted or injured, pray for those who caused the suffering. Don't go on about it to those around you, give it back to Our Lord on the cross. Hope that helps.

Great question Generally speaking it doesn’t mean your actions need to be different to ‘offer it up’ but rather your interior disposition DOES. To do even the smallest tasks for the love of God allows Him to put your sacrifice to good use elsewhere. And He blesses you for it. Many saints chose the most mundane or thankless jobs to be a source of sacrifice and reparation to God. Do all you do with love and for the glory of God.
@barblacy619
@barblacy619 Месяц назад
@@ck3703 So it can be as simple as being conscious of our ordinary activities we often do grumbling or just reluctantly or even routinely but to focus on the idea we wish to please God with everything we do however mundane or troublesome? I think Brother Lawrence was famous for that attitude. We don’t need a special prayer or specific action. We need to be mindful that we wish to please God in all our thoughts, words and deeds?

Well done! I have been critical but I must also be congradulatory to be truthful. I was glad to learn of the "salvatory economy". This is not preached or hasn't been at any mass I've attended and I am 65. And it is consistant with Jesus' teachings, though implied, and in various revelations. Fr Martin, yes please do speak on this more often. And the point about humility was very welcome...food for thought.

Hard teaching to be a Christian and suffering for others because, basically, human nature is to avoid pain and seek pleasure. Majority of them fail to feel contented with what they have but instead become greedy and selfish. Praying and Fasting in our materialistic society is difficult to practice regularly.

I do the 9 month novena of the annunciation for impossible requests daily. It permits three petitions. One of my petitions is for all souls to reach heaven and avoid hell and purgatory. It was difficult at first praying for people who i don't like and evil people who deserve hell but it is easier now. Is this acceptable in aiding the salvation of others? To me the people who deserve hell are those who deliberately inflict pain upon others and animals and either enjoy doing it or have no regard for what they are doing.

Jesus was very much aware of Him being the Messiah from the very outset. Proof? Hebrews 10, 5-7: "When He cometh into the world he saith: A body Thou hast fitted to me. Holocaust for sin did not please Thee. Then I said: Behold I come that I do Thy will, O God." (= Psalm 40 (39), 6)

Is there a difference in offering suffering as penance between suffering you can't avoid and suffering you willingly inflict upon yourself? Illness suffering as opposed to fasting suffering? I suffered the since i was a small child an incurable condition that only until recently medication has been developed to alleviate most of the pain that the affliction incurs. Does any of that suffering have any redemptive value. It was unavoidable. I had no control over it.

Be sure to share to the Protestants: (Except you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood you have No life in you) Which is saying that unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood you have No Salvation. This is why there is no Salvation outside of the Traditional Catholic Church. This has always been taught by the Church. Protestants don't understand that there is No Salvation within Protestantism. We must Evangelize the Protestants. Know the Faith and the Scriptures well enough to Evangelize and save Souls. May The Lord Saturate Our Souls With The Holy Spirit🔥✝️🙏

Salvation can only be asked and achieved by the individual and God, no one can else can in reality interfere ! A person that ASKS for help can be helped but doing penance for others is something Satan would like you to do in order to enslave you: everyone is responsible for themselves. I find your ideas on converting other people seriously distorting the truth of this world. We are here for a reason and that is learning our lessons. Taking 100% responsibility for one’s words and actions are enough. We should not interfere in other people’s journey if not by helping those that might ask us. There is a substantial difference between suffering and pain, it is crucial we learn the difference. We are here in this world to learn. Everyone needs the lessons they get: me and you included. Do not judge another persons journey, we cannot know God’s plan for them. Do not judge Jesus Christ !! S.Michael Archangel is the destroyer of Ignorance. Evil lies in the ignorance that hides in the very shadow of our Soul. May the Light shine on our shadows revealing what we might yet not know. ❤

That's true. Salvation is of the Lord (jonah2:9) and everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (rom10:13). Its by faith into the blood of Christ (eph 2:8, rom 3:25). Every saved believers is part of the body of Christ, the church that Peter built. And once you are saved, you know it, because you start to love God and obeying His word. No mediator, priest, eucharist, pope sacrament necessary.

Jesus lived the entire human experience. He did not come here to be God but humble and find His way which He did. He lived as a human and never sinned. It easy for God to never sin but a human has a harder time of it. When He rose He said I have Overcome the World. He took everything that was thrown at Him and never sinned. He proved, as a human that it is possible and He proved it. He overcame and became as a result our worthy savior in Whom God was pleased.

Why then, does Christ, after His resurrection, did He say "I believe I have always been God" as a realization after He conquered death? Still the Roman soldier said as He expired on the cross, "surely this man was the son of God" this seems to be an acknowledgement that He is "only" the son of God. His full realization wasn't until He raised Himself. . Then there is Peter pointing out that "where shall we go? Only You have the words of eternal life" I would like to study these passages more to find out what they may mean...

Talk about twisting Scripture. Christ was under the Old Covenant so was under Mosaic Law (Ceremonial, moral, civil) so of course there weren’t any Christian churches until AFTER He had died, descended into hell, rose again and ascended into heaven. However Christ was clear He didn’t come to abolish the law but to fulfil it and if you actually read the NT you will see He left a very visible church - your ‘Bible and me’ heresy is no where in Scripture

no sir, as a Catholic we can't believe that our penances or any of our actions can purchase the grace of God for anyone. Grace is according to the catechism, grace is “Grace is favor, the free and undeserved help that God gives us to respond to his call to become children of God, adoptive sons, partakers of the divine nature and eternal life." Our actions can join to the action God takes in the world but we mustn't ever think that we can earn or buy salvation for anyone. Jesus did it and He reminds us everytime He comes to us in the Eucharist. Our sacrifices help, for sure but the help is not outside of God's final action and cannot add to it but only join to it. This video can be misleading to some folk.

I was raised Roman Catholic and did not hear the gospel until I was in my 20s. By God’s grace and sovereignty I am a Christ follower (Reformed Baptist) and wanted to share with you folks in love and respect and biblical truth there are numerous falsehoods taught in the Catholic Church that are the antithesis of scripture. While God does not speak audibly to people anymore, as we have the completed Old and New Testaments. Mary herself was not sinless and even stated her need for a savior in Luke 1:47. We are to pray to God ALONE as Christ followers (Philippians 4:6-7, Matthew 6:6, Jeremiah 33:3, 1 Timothy 2:5). Purgatory does not exist, as this was later added in the book of Maccabees, which is not the Bible. When you die, you go to one of 2 places, heaven or hell (Matthew 25:46, Revelation 21, Romans 6:23) We are not to call anyone in church leadership ‘Father’. (Matthew 23:9) We are not to carve or design statues of Jesus or the apostles (Exodus 20:4-5, Leviticus 26:1, Psalm 115:4-8). In addition to these, there is not a single reference in the Bible of holy water, alter boys, rosaries, venial sin, or mortal sin. We are saved by grace alone, by faith alone, in Christ Jesus alone (Ephesians 2). Apart from that, we’re not dying in sin, we are dead in sin. I sincerely pray in God’s will that you’ll not take my mere word for it, but go to the verses that I shared.

You were poorly catechized. I don't have time since right now, but amongst other of your errors, as a former Lutheran, the book of Maccabees was removed by the Protestants. Also, who do you think compiled your Canon? Catholic bishops. At what point do you no longer accept their authority from the Holy Ghost and who makes you the interpreter and arbiter of their meaning, which was always to be understood in light of Holy Tradition. For centuries, most people could not read, and expensive hand copied bibles, once the books were consolidated, were few and far between. How did those Christians learn their faith? By the deposit handed down from the Apostles.

I love you brother, but I couldn't help but notice that you didn't mention any of the "numerous falsehoods... that are the antithesis of scripture." The Catholic Church is the guardian of scripture, not the antithesis of it. Without the Church, Luther wouldn't have had a Bible to poorly translate.

Baptists love their anti-Catholic prejudices. I'm pretty sure that you believe a lot of things that are not true, starting with Eucharist, which you sadly are cut off from. Look up Eucharistic miracles. And read John chapter 6: why did the disciples fall away from Jesus if he was speaking metaphorically? Why did Jesus use the words for eating/consuming his flesh and drinking (slurping) his blood? If he were talking metaphorically, he would have said so and made the disciples come back. "I'm just kidding!" He didn't do that. Read Brant Pitre "Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist", don't be an uneducated Baptist..

Well you were horrifically catechised as a Catholic and you clearly didn’t listen when you went to Mass! Because not only is a reading from the Gospel read at every Mass - but Monday-Saturday there is one reading either from the OT or NT along with a psalm reading. On Sundays there is an OT reading, a NT reading and a psalm reading. Additionally the majority of the words uttered during the Mass is taken directly from Scripture. If I were you I wouldn’t be so prideful in admitting your failure to listen to Gods Word… Yes Mother Mary needed a saviour - who do you think preserved her from the stain of original sin? She didn’t do it for herself! The fact you think something as Holy as God incarnate could dwell in something sinful is telling… Might want to read St. Paul particularly 1 Cor. 3 regarding purgatory along with the whole Bible. Nothing unclean can enter heaven - are you saying you are completely detached from all sins and never tempted by any sin ever? You need to be purified from that attachment before entering heaven.
