Thank you so much for this video, was a great help. I realized you can also do it the other way round. create the screw with the core diameter and then use a fin command in combination with the helix command. :)

But the thing is, i hav seen an option named "Thread & Tap" and want to know weather it is there for creating thread or is it something else? If it is a faster option than the one you mentioned here, please do tell me how to use it.
I am getting an error that the center curve doesn't lie on the reference surface even though I have placed the point for the helix the same distance from the axis as the radius. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this? Thank you for the video! Very helpful !
good practice! I would like to know how you have the sketch features in front of y ?It is hard too making a gear without these in front of y!Also does anyone know why the commands cant work?I have catiavr21
Hi M.Shakeel, your videos are a great help for the beginners, I recently Downloaded and started practicing Catia V5, I was practicing that "Threaded Hex Screw" video of yours, i am having some problems and i am not sure if i am not doing it the right way or is it that Catia application that i downloaded, like when i was done with the first ractangle's padding and wanted to make a circle on the lower face the circle was'nt appearing within the ractangle, i had to make a bigger circle the changed the diameter, same problem with the second circle, which is internally tangent to the ractangle, after that when i gave the revolve command in the dialoge box appeared i could not mention the revolution axis, which was z axis, it was not just changing, may be be its some problem with that application, Please any help will be highly appreciated.
while making the axis (4:11) try to make the axis line in bluish colour..ie, try to make it aligned.. i got stuck there.. and one simple tip to do it easier. Put the playback speed as 0.5.. :P

Quite good and helpful video. however, when i try to create a nut profile by taking the line at 30degree as you said and use the Groove command it leaves behind only the portion of the head which is to be cut. rest of the screw is gone. Why is it happening so ?

i have done everything same as u did in video.but at slotting i got a boolean error saying that it cannot be cut until it is constrained,split etc.wat to do? plsss help me mohammed shakeel
When i project the circle as shown in video it make a line outside of the hexagon not inside it , due to which it does not take point on the hexagon for plane cutting line . Help Please Sir
You need to make use of the tutorials that are available in my channel. My students have made rockets and airplanes and Lamborghini's using just my tutorials, I am sure if you practice you can do it..!! Cheers.
i am getting aproblem while using slot defination.after clicking for reference plane and selecting the circular pad.it is showing an error called feature defination error.it is showing that" the selected sketch contains points defined as standard geometrical elements.you must convert these points into constructional elements"
Please follow the videos once again. If you have any unnecessary points in the sketch, select them and make them construction geometry. Hope that helps..!!
woah, slow down speed racer. you said this was for beginners. Where's the slow motion button... I'm stuck on the angle for the chamfer on the top of the bolt. It's only letting me change the length of the line I don't see how to set the angle.
Mugesh Kumar Hi Friend, You can create whatever profile you want at the yz plane. Make sure that you give the reference surface while performing rib. This tutorial is intended to give the users an idea How to give such revolved cut outs around a cylindrical part body wrt a sketch profile. Have a nice day..!!
Why should I create a bolt, where it's exists in the standard libraries, and I can simply insert it into the assembly???? This is first time I watch Catia tutorials, in my opinion for an industrial & Mechanical designs it's so primitive comparing with Autodesk Inventor for example ...
