Reigning premier Geelong has withstood the challenge of a plucky Adelaide to claim its fifth win in a row on Saturday afternoon.
The Cats' 14.14 (98) to 11.6 (72) victory extended Adelaide's winless run at GMHBA Stadium - which dates back to 2003 - to 13 straight games.

Lots of young guys and fresh faces stepped up in a big way. Cameron's intercept mark at the last minute to set up Bruhn's goal is a mark of a true champion.

The crows can hold their heads high knowing that they took it to the premiers right until the final siren and didn't quit and alot of good signs coming out of the game they are improving and will see finals this year

A pretty good match in the end... It was always hard to beat Geelong at the Cattery so I thought the Crows gave it a good shot. Still much fine tuning to be done with the Crows young bucks yet but this season should see big improvements on that front. Hats off to the Cats... To the victor go the spoils.

Full credit to the cats for fighting off a brave crows outfit. The crows provided a good contest throughout the match but the cats were able to hold their nerve when it mattered most.

The Jeremy Cameron Mark Of The Year contender was my highlight of the match. It is safe to say that the Cats are back. With five consecutive wins and with Richmond, Fremantle, GWS and Bulldogs coming up before their mid-season bye, I see Geelong winning at least three, if not all four of them. Adelaide however, have a mixed bag in their next four games with St Kilda, Bulldogs, Brisbane and Gold Coast to come.
