Zoo-psycos may disagree, but those freaks are just mentally ill retards, mostly, and often pose threat to society, too. It's bad to torture them and cause them a lot of pain, I agree, but there is nothing bad in simply killing them for food (hello, is there somebody home? animals kill each other for food every day, why people can't do the same to animals?), or make them a bit uncomfortable to see their funny reactions. Cats hate water because it's VERY uncomfortable for them to get wet. Their fur isn't made for bathing or getting into water, it gets quite heavy when wet and they easily get quite cold when wet. Cats unlike dogs have fur that's made for grooming and them applying oil to it themselves. A dogs fur on the contrary is quite waterproof which is why they often don't give a shit! Imagine taking a bath, having long hair all over your body (that isn't waterproof) and that shit ain't drying for an hour or two, for that time it'd feel like you're walking along with double your usual weight and you'd get very cold!

Sometimes cats have to be bathed. Our cat lived outside most of her live and sometimes she came home with dirty fur which had to be cleaned. For example. She got motor oil in her fur from walking around under parked cars. She couldn't clean that herself.
