My kitty has many meows he uses to ask for things, and over 10 years I've figured out what he wants. When I do speak with him, I just talk softly or whisper, and he has always been super relaxed 😸😊❤
Woaaah! That’s so cool! It’s good to know you really paid attention to what your cat wants to say! What are some examples of your cat’s meows and what do they mean?
@@ladycuddlesmeow my kitty TJ meows at certain different tones when he's hungry, want's to play, go out on the back porch to sit and relax, or when he's ready for sleep. We have been buddies for 11 years now, and I think he knows as much about me as I do of him 😺😇❤
Our cat is completly different. Like everyting that a cat dont like or hate . He just don care. He is just stupid most of the time but thats what i like about him
Every morning, my dad gives me my Synthroid and my phone, which he refers to in Spanglish as “fonito” and “synthrocita”. One of our cats somehow learned to enter the room right as those words are said, and whenever he enters right on cue, my dad announces him as “Chonguito”!
About staring being a sign of aggression: probably not in every case, because one of my mom's cats, who is very affectionate with her, loves to stare at her. Lovingly. For a looong time, sometimes slow-blinking, but mostly staring and purring. My mom calls me on the phone to talk about that, and all I can respond with is " I guess she likes how you look? ". Weirdo, but a sweetheart. My favorite cat, who has passed away now, used to catch my eye and then slow-blink at me when she saw that I was looking at her. I always responded by slow-blinking back and petting her.
When my sister and i were teenagers, we would totally ignore the "cats have sensitive hearing" bit. Upon sighting our cat Motmot, especially upon arriving home from school, we would screech "KITTY!!!" and thrust our arms out like a couple of four-year-olds before hurrying towards him and either wiggling his tail around like a pool noodle or gently pushing him over (and later forgoing that and setting him in a lying position once he grew older and frailer) before smooshing our faces into his side to hear him purr. Eventually he just accepted that as how we showed affection, so as soon as he heard "KITTY!!!!" he just began lying down on his own and waiting for us to come smoosh him 😅 We miss him so much.
I learned how to communicate with my cat from Jackson Galaxy. Since then, my cat is part human!!!!! She even gets just as excited to see me when I come through the door as much as my boys (dogs) do!!! I can call out to her when she's upstairs, and she will either just meow, or ignore me, or come running down the stairs!!!! I love my Queen Bambi to the moon and back!!!!
I talk to me cat with an excited and low voice, as she is playful and loves to follow me around my house and greets me at the door. She also isn't very talkative so she talks with her body instead.
@@Lucky_Soleil When I was a kid, we had a Siamese. He was very vindictive if you scolded or fussed at him. He'd wait in hiding then jump out and bite your ankle when you walked by. 😬
My neighborhood cat always come to my house regardless after being fed. She's now pregnant and always want my attention. So whenever she wants my attention, she squeaks😅
Looking directly at a cat is also often interpreted as a threat, just like smiling. Most animals, especially hunters, interpret direct eye contact as a challenge and grinning as a showing of teeth, thus a sign of aggression. With a cat, it's best to look in their rough direction. They will interpret this as being acknowledged without being threatened. In general, mirroring a relaxed cat's body language is one of the best things you can do.
There's a guy here on RU-vid that teaches some sounds you can make to communicate specific things with almost any domestic cat. The two I know are "Mrrrr-AH" where you trill the "mrrr" and raise your pitch on the "ah". That gets their attention to come to you. Another is "MAH-AH" in a quick, higher pitch to communicate that they just hurt you when they bit during play.
I haven’t seen my cat IN A YEAR!!! I left my country with my sister and parents my half of family is on the OTHER SIDE and yeah my cat is my family I miss my family so much😅😅😢😢
I dunno why... but my cat runs at me with excitement whenever I stare long enough 💀 Not every cat thinks staring is aggression, they can pick up other body language and take that hint
Your cats will love you more if you let them play with your crystals, read their daily astrology and tarot cards to them. They also love to help you cast spells on people.
One of my cats will very, VERY loudly scream at the garage door or other outside doors if his favorite person (not me) is outside. Sometimes he also just screams at the garage door because he wants to be let out.
My family is allergic to cats but I badly want one. Ik there are those hypoallergenic cats but do they actually work? And if so do I need a specific type or I can get any.
