I had a cat that swiped a chicken breast from the counter while I was getting a baking sheet out. I had an open 10 pack of chicken, I turned away to get the sheet, I turn back to a 9 pack of chicken breast. Less than 30 seconds.

Same, once my cat got on counter to steal a huge piece of chicken and I had to struggle to get it away from him lol. 😫🐈

I had one who stole a whole roast from my shopping bag, dragged it behind a door and started to unwrap, he only got caught because of the noise from the wrapping paper.

Our new kitten is like that, you have to watch her closely and make sure she is at least 5 feet away from you while eating. She came from Team Feral in Houston though, but I think she was born in the shelter, we adopted her a month ago. We just found out she has FIP and the vet started her on a steroid. Before that she would barely eat, now she's a violent little eater. I have to give her the tablet in a pill pouch treat, and the other day she was eating the treat and the pill fell out. I'm thinking great, now I have to stick it in a new pouch or she won't take the pjll and went to grab the tablet and she tried biting my finger before gobbling the tablet up. I was like.... um..... ok then. She has also mastered the grab and run, the magician's now you have it now you don't, and the that was never there to begin with. Oh, and the teleportation of either her, your food, or both. I don't want to say goodbye to her 😭😭

Yes, this is typical for a cat! This is nothing compared to what they are capable of! Whether they be wild or domesticated!!! Cat's are one of the LEAST evolved species out there! As the Big Cat Society says...there are Big Cats and Small Cats! But, they are ALL cats!!!

This is the way to go if your cat is food obsessed. My cat now just patiently sits next to me and watches until I can give him a scrap of meat that I don’t want. Altho occasionally he will steal when i’m not looking

I once had a white male cat who loves eating vegetables. He didn’t quite like cat food. But he could wait patiently for a piece of chayote or some water morning glory when I was having meal. I love him so much! He’s in heaven now. ❤️

It absolutely bothers me. I love cats and dogs but they are dirty animals. Licking yourself and walking on cat litter is not clean. I sometimes give them table scraps but they will never touch my plate or my food.

We used to have a cat that could skewer a hot dog and slide it right out of the bun. It just disappeared and he would be seen on the floor eating it. One time it happened right while I was sitting there. I felt nothing besides the plate losing the hot dog's equivalent in mass.

I think a lot of cat owners just don't give a damn. Dogs often eat their and others' shit and vomit and their owners still don't mind being licked all over their faces. We may not be invincible, but we humans have a pretty hardy constitution and when we love animals we tend to let those concerns go, because they just become absurd and tedious in the bigger picture, especially when living around it every day.

You gotta be careful tho, no food like chocolate, dairy, bread with yeast, coconut, citrus fruits, grains or raisins. Avoid all those and of course alcohol
