Catskill Mountains - Big Indian and Fir Mountains

On another gorgeous Saturday morning, I find myself back in the Big Indian Wilderness area to tackle 2 more mountains on the 3,500' list. Initial plans had me climbing Eagle mountain as well but I wasn't feeling the 14+ mile day that it would have become, opting instead for the 10 mile loop.
An absolutely beautiful area and a surprisingly easy hike, you really can't go wrong with this one. View are non-existent though, you are under canopy for just about the entire time.

I couldn't have asked for better. I'm about 6 minutes into your Adirondack Canoe trip, so far the food is on point, love it! Great first site. Thanks brother for checking the trip out, one of these days we need to coordinate when you're going to be up there, I may need to swim everywhere, but I'll figure it out.

Thanks for the video. Its nice seeing a mountain top that is shaded by canopy, and maybe less traveled (?) Also, I think if you tried for Eagle - my right knee would have started hurting : )

HAHA, too funny! I really wanted to push for it but also wanted to hit that herd path. Eagle is still on the radar! Thanks for stopping by and checking the trip out.

Awesome video, keep knocking out those 3500'. I have yet to try out a herd path in the Catskills. How difficult was this one to follow?

Thank you! I'm going to certainly try, kind of hoping to wrap it up this season. May need to throw a few Winter hikes in. This one wasn't difficult at all. There were 3 spots where I took my eyes off the trail for a second and veered off it. This was one of the easiest I've ever done up there. Glad you enjoyed the trip, thanks for checking it out!
