It’s always interesting to see foreign markets and different ways - thank you for filming it. Hope you were happy with the prices this time and made a euro or two 👍 From the look of the steers, they were out of dairy type Salers and not beef type Salers. Whenever I have seen the French livestock vans I have always smiled/laughed - it just seem such a strange way of moving stock. Shame about your sign, but the important bit is the artwork that went into it. You obviously have artistic talent. Did you know (it could be my iPad of course) that some of the video is in reverse and so the sign was backwards; plus Declan looked as if he was driving in the Uk -- on the wrong side 🤣🤣🤣 Nice to see you both as father and daughter. Take care, stay safe, be Happy and wishing you all a very happy Easter. Richard xx ps. Any Second hand locking yoke cattle feeders out their. I am in need of 3 x 15ft sections - for about 15 cows.
Hi from Effingham Kansas USA. You are showing us that has subscribe to your channel with its like to be a farmer in a another country. Thanks for the hard work that you put into your videos. Please stay safe
Great video, just recently got into watching them. Them sailors would have been given away here in Alberta still having their horns and nuts. And the breed isn't that productive here. I'm enjoying the videos, and will play catch up watching them.
Hi Laura and your Dad and Mum from Australia xxx When you and your Dad was watching the cows come into the ring I noticed a Fella who was walking about with a Bloody Big Stick and he was hiting the cows for NO Reason I probably would have been asked to leave Because I would have shouted at him TO STOP , I used to go to Aberdeen Cattle Mart to buy more Sheep Several Times A Year and I NeverEver Saw any one with a stick ( I am from Wales in the UK but lived in Scotland for 12 Years ).I Really Enjoy Your Videos xx Sign Looks Good
When i worked in France they were pressing a button to bid last person to press bought them, when the bosses calves came in the boss nearly glued himself to the button and I taught ireland was the only place that had dodges
At the 'mart' closest to me (Auction barn: Ontario Canada) the bidding is done by a wink or a nod or a subtle wave of a finger or hand. The auctioneer acknowledges your bid and sometimes there are spotters to make sure no bids are missed. When the bidding stops the auctioneers will declare the animal/item sold and make sure he/she has your contact information. All done on the honour system but seems to work.
So many tractors with trailers ,You would never see so many in England , I wonder if the moister content was low enough on your timber sign when you treated it
What is the story with trailer plates in France. Notice some Irish reg plates. Do they not need to be the same as the toe car or are they given there own plates like in the us and Canada
did well to get sale for them .......they look like cattle that would be wild enough when out on grass .........had 3 like that last year and they set a batch of 22 others wild ......
@@FarmingLifeatLaForge yes sorry to say they will always be like that through their hole lives not their fault it’s their breed ! Any ways they are history now they are gone out of your hands Laura 😜🇮🇪
Thanks! Epoxy would be better against the weather but it cant be painted on like varnish, it has to be done in a mold and takes a long time to set. Wouldn't look right in my opinion
@@FarmingLifeatLaForge I know a couple rebuilding their wood boat in South America. This is how they are protecting their coach roof with rolled on epoxy. Can’t send a picture here. Will send it on Instagram
Chateaumeillant market. It's very difficult to do anything different to what is traditional in the area. buyers are only interested in the local breed and usually just purebred. BRILL VIDEO. Bon Courage
Laura you had black cattle last year then you moved to red ones next time go for white ones see the prices over €3/kg you will never beat the Charlie chx 😜🇮🇪
Yes but to buy charolais would be 3times the price and wouldn't have as good a margin. Also no one sells charolais calves or "fluffies" maybe the odd one here or there but that's it :)
@@FarmingLifeatLaForge all depends the chx will put on more weight quicker better quality animal! Depends what you like looking at either quality or the middle of the road animal all down to a person’s preference 😜🇮🇪
Your cattle would have looked better if you had taken the horns off and put them on clean bedding for a few days they would have presented better to a byer
