Just watching this now and you mention you have 850 subs at the time of filming. Compared to 95,000 in January 2024. Pleasing to see such support for a small family farm business showing how they work and live.

Great video again. Just a suggestion but a video on your method of drying off your herd... lead up to it, how you slow down milk production, method used, selective dry cow therapy or maybe not.... dont expect a full video on work in the pit as i know how busy and stressful it can be, but a short tutorial would be good. Just something different.

The shed seems a smart set up especially with the race. Just the agony this may/June when jagging and putting cattle out with the crush and no race is enough to make you go crazy. Grand vid again.

Masseyman6480 myself and 4 other farmers share a crush but it’s hard to beat having your own , besides the other crush is over a public road which always requires another persons help which is not always easy to get

Nice livestock set that young man. It is interesting that the steel work is made up of all beams and instead of them being fitted with end plates and bolted through the web of the vertical beams they are sitting in the top. I recently built a 30ft by 12ft steel portal chicken shed (videos on my channel) for my sister and used H columns for the verticals and I beams for the roof apex sections and for outriggers to allow for an overhang of 2ft beyond the walls to shed water because they didn't want gutters. Easy enough to design but it took me a bit longer than planned to weld it all up. Keep up the good work young man!

Will you put full size cubicles in for the barren cows and let the wee calves lie in them any shape, or will you adjust them some way?

enjoying videos is the shed going to be on time or are you under pressure with wet winter coming so early ,what why are you going with you feed compare this time last year .
@IFarmWeFarm
@IFarmWeFarm 4 года назад
Hy Mac Thank you, grounds got very wet again so no time to loss, we’re going through silage quite fast at the minute but that will ease when the cows are dryed off in the next few weeks. We don’t expect to have any fodder problems as of yet. Hopefully spring comes on time....🤞
