Thank you for the detailed overhead and ground level walk through. Every setup is unique, seemingly. It is great to see how yours works. Any idea on the $ amount it would cost today? How many head to you run through at a time? I know you said 5 in the chute but I mean a group in pen 1 &/or 3 before you get to the sweep and chute.
This set up cost about $30,000 about 10 years ago. I suspect it would cost double that today. Each pen can comfortably hold about 40 head of adult cattle.
It’s almost as if this was designed by a veterinary feeling guilty of the price per hour treating ranchers’ herds! Seen similar at Liverpool University under Derek Kottenbelt re cattle and horses. Particularly horses. What a set up! Even Greg Judy could be a tad envious!
@@cliffhonnasregenerativerancher Wise! But I’m guessing you’ve attended your fair share of injured cattle prior to equine remedials. Loving your videos, btw.
You could look into a Formost brand of squeeze chute . We have their hydrolytic squeeze chutes at the feedlot l work at . Their chutes and squeeze open all the way from bottom to top . I think they have manual ones that do open the same way . Otherwise love your set up .
