Caucasian Shepherd Dog - Beast from Georgia 

It was pretty terrifying; ngl.

Look at his eyes they look into your soul

Like a lions eyes, play prey stalking

In one of the frames it resembled a werewolf.

I bet he wont break into the home when he hears the bark

@AnimalSerenade ain't that the truth?!?! When we got ours, I got to meet his parents. I walked into the "arena"/warehouse and saw (his back was to me because he was protesting at his owner for her having to kennel him.) this huge zoo enclosure, & heard what I thought was a bear. The size, the darker fur, just the side profile of his nose, then snarl, the "chuffing" sound. But when he turned (&I realized, "Nope, not bear!") then a bark. It raised hair up and down my down my body. If that doesn't stop someone in their tracks, only a gun shot will.

@heightsfynest6023 shotgun is good weapon for entry, but the dog's bark is going to make the homeowner aware there is a problem...& while you get may through him, I will have retrieved what I am going to use to kill anyone coming into my property. Keep in mind, you kill or hurt my dogs, then how you die just at my discretion. No. One. Will. Find. Your .Body.

Don’t have to I almost got caught by one loose in the yard while delivering an Amazon package. The way this dog was slamming its front paws one by one into the dirt and throwing it back while passing side to side just made me smile. And he wasn’t there when I pulled up looking for a minute making sure there was no dog but when I opened my door he just appeared and every time I attempted to open my door he reminded me not to do that. I just sat there for a second watching. And that’s why I pulled into every driveway even though the company says not to because people have guard dogs lose or they come outside leaving the door wide opted for two guard dogs to chase you. Dam I miss that job😂

You'd be surprised. Everyone that sees their size says that...but they don't eat because it's there, they eat for energy & substance. They don't have massive poops, just what the body didn't use.

Yes. They "imprint" to the herd, pack, family & will protect at all cost. Even if they will die doing it. Most courageous dogs in the world...and as such, are often used for awful means. My husband can't raise his voice to me without a sharp reprimand from my COs. Hubby walked by one afternoon & reared back to pop me (playfully) on the butt & my oldest dog (Yogi) let him know, real quick, no one touches mama. They are wonderful family dogs, but I do say they need "a job". They are remarkable "thinking"/strategists, are very proficient in learning/understanding so they need a means to use those skills. They are also verbal...think "husky verbal".

I had a Georgian shepherd dog named "Booch" and once at our home thieves got in and we weren't at home after we came dad noticed that Booch was limped, he got injured on the head but they could manage to bring items out from the house because he locked them in the house and didn’t let them out, they were only able to get out through the roof, he got hit in the head, even though they treat him like that, he protected the house, he didn’t let the thieves take anything, that’s the character of this breed. ❤

@ninodjas yes, it is the character of the breed. They will lay their lives down for their "pack". I love the name "Bootch"!! GIVE BOOTCH A MOOCH from a friend down in Alabama.

Nah, they’re great with kids of the pack/family. But a random kid, a kid around the block isn’t part of that.

Was the first dog we had growing up and he was amazing. Gentle giant but very protective. I scared the hell out of my baby sitters.

@@waso778 You are being stupid. The name is Caucasian Shepherd, not Georgian. Take a look at the map once in Your life. Caucasian mountains are big. Its Georgia on one side, and Chechnia, Dagestan and Azerbaidjan on another side. Caucasian shepherds come from all these sites, with local differences. And yes, Chechen and Dagestan republics are parts of Russian Federation. And Georgia was a part of Russian Empire and Soviet Union for a long time, since it asked RE to join it, searching for protection because of turkish and iranian threats.

Not that much believe me, those mastiff shepherd breeds are rough, crude, they need a proper master otherwise they'll tend to overhelm you. They need experienced owners, believe me since i owned Kangals, Abruzzese shepherds and Caucasians. They're great but not your ordinary pet. Remember that a healthy Caucasian can slaughter 2-3 pitbulls all together in a few minutes, so now you have the right measure of what these super-dogs really are. Despite the fluffy appearence, they're aggressive by nature, high stamina levels, extreme power, high pain tolerance, excited by blood, natural instinct to fight to protect, they're warriors who need a proper owner to calm down their natural aggressiveness.

Please please get and read the books/pamphlets on Caucasians Ovcharka's. The one by Stacy Kubyn is good, and the one by Charles Worthington. Don't get one without learning about them because the first time they show you who they are...it's going to shock you.

Exactly, it's what i'm trtying to explain in my posts. I have 35 years experience on mastiff shepherds and the Caucasian is one of the worst if you're a rookie. Phenomenal dog but in the right handfs only, otherwise he will make you cry.

Yes but Red Star channel in Moscow developed this breed as we can see tghem right now, aborigenal caucasians like the ones in your nice land are quite different. I don't know which are the best, they're both great dogs.
