Wade since you have wet kits on the trucks you can fab a front bumper with a 60,000 pound hydraulic winch with lines run to the wet kit to run the winch with a snatch block to double pulling power using the skidder as a counter weight the skidder driver gets in your drivers seat you un chain the head on Brutus as the skidder driver operates the wet kit on your truck you use the boom on Brutus without the head running push he trailer back on the road save yourself $1,800.00-$2,400.00 from calling for 1 or 2 heavy wreckers
Logger Wade no problem and you can help others that get in that same situation cause when Brutus is on the trailer I’m guessing your truck trailer and Brutus is over 105,000 pounds you get a grade 100 frame chain put it on the frame rail behind the fifth wheel and in line with the fifth wheel and just give a slight pull as the driver steers bringing the drives back onto the road when you first got stuck you already had the steers on the road which was great if the winch on the skidder was strong enough and another frame chain you could have slid it back up or if you do use my idea you would have about 230 feet of 250 feet of 7/8 winch cable to play with a break strength of almost 80,000 pounds with 2 snatch blocks you can do a lot of recoveries and not have to unchain the head of a swing machine
4:30 made me realize just how much pull that skidder was doing. You went from almost making it to hellaciouslly stuck. I hope your weekend goes better Wade.
That camera made it So realistic.... You could smell the clutch while the loader was trying to pull it in half!!! Great job though, impressive through town and the rest of the trip!👍👍
I've only been to Indiana once, probably 20 years ago and for some reason, that's the one thing that I remember is the narrow roads. We even had a regular semi and trailer, not an oversize load rig and trailer.
#LoggerWade. Man i love ya vids. My dad operated a skidder for a living before he passed. I loved being out there with em when they was workin . Never got a chance to learn anything of it before. Keep up tha vidjas .
Yeeeeeeeeeeees I do like your vidjas when you stick the camera up on your trailer or what your carrying so it shows that beautiful countryside and that beautiful truck 😀😀😀😀
Enjoy your vids. Think I'm caught up since I found them the other night. Being on quarantine and all😅. Seen Indiana on the trucks. I also live in Indiana 😅 anyways. Great vids. ✌️
reminds me of when a logging operation near my grandparents had a log truck turn in on there road and the ditch gave way. The dirt road is red dirt and had a high side so the truck and trailer leaned against it and was brought back on to it's wheels by a bulldozer and skidder then drove away.
I feel your pain Wade. Sometimes I have to take 5 stabs to get into some of the tight places I have to go and that is usually when I weigh about 115000 pounds. Have a good weekend.
Stepp of Faith what part of tn. in in Russlleville. worked for mann logging out of N.C you may heard of them. anyways your not stuck till shes stuck...lol
i gots to say tater-when ya stick me up on top of Brutus to ride along, makes me feel kind of quesy in the ole stomach some. lol reminds of when i would load my Fiat-Alis 31 dozer onto the low boy and they would say-ahh-just stay in the seat-we're only going a couple of miles to the next job--did that for a week till the other dozer was fixed at that job. what a ride-course i was young back then-21 or so in age--lots of sounds coming up in the dozer cab while riding atop a low boy. ha! thanks for the ride along.
I use to love pulling logging equipment , my old boss had me doing it all the time , my favorite was pulling the loader with a detachable delimber behind it looks like you pulling doubles , it was cool until after a year DOT stopped me and said I needed double endorsement
Went full hellen keller at the end. Those tight roads and shit suck man there every other road up here. And theres dummies in cars that think there bigger than you! Another good one man
I just watched your video about blackie in the shop getting rebuilt, when i see you getting stuck, i thought about you saying in the video that you should fix them lockers on the axles
wow those were some tight turns.wish you had a camera on the back end showing how close you came to the signs.wade why did you keep wanting to drive in the left lane here in nj no trucks in left lane .left lane cars only and for passing.maybe officer hoover can answer that for me
I'm glad you were not going too fast when that stone went flying from your drivers side rear tire Wade, that might have possibly cracked the windshield on Brutus.😬(very expensive)
@@johnmera531 I asked him about that,he said according to Caterpillar, they use the same grade of safety glass in them, the only difference is the forestry equipment uses a thicker version of it,but just as breakable as it would be on a regular excavator.
i hate days like that. you know the time is coming when you have to make a crappy move to get where you need too and it will eat at you until you get it over with. Its nice when it goes better than you think it will but it dont always work out like that.
Parts of that video u was moving fairly quickly officer Hoover be knocking on your door!!!! And that sucks getting stuck like that... moved a lot of stuff around the hills of Virginia, Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. Getting nervous in my old age, going to try something new, Boat Mechanic School. Less dealing with traffic and all the headaches of trucking.
@@officerhoover7562 thank god I thought I told them 80,000 but they liable to stretch that like the 20,000$ trees lol I've been getting tormented from everyone over that one
Thought for sure you was going to drop a drive shaft or rear end blackey done well, we got them narrow ass roads around don't know why the build them like that, guess land owner want give up the land.
I've just spent at least an hour watching a selection of your vids gave 👍to all...I know two Irish men with logging trucks two hard dudes but likable, don't think they got channels, both grew up around trucks, could swap stories with you all day .😄😄
some guys check the tires when they get to a road. if it didn't come out its a good way to blow a tire or 6..It sure was cool watching it fly by my head tho..
Poor Brutus took the catch on that one looked like, just doing what he can for the good of the company and not letting that rock get farther and possibly hit a car :)
