Gaga is a very talented singer, and unique artist. 3 other songs I would highly recommend reacting to are (all 3 really good): Poker Face Just Dance Paparazzi
As well as checking out more Gaga, plz can you react to Kesha (both Gaga and Kesha super talented female singers with very strong voices). First Kesha songs I would react to are: Tik Tok (this was her first big hit, and was huge when it came out) Die Young Take it Off
The controversy you're thinking of could be when she wore a dress made out of meat. Please react to Always remember us this way, Telephone and also Alejandro 👌👌🔥🔥
Or maybe when she sang a song about rape and brought alot of survivors on stage including herself with me too written on them. That caused a big mess with the people trying to cover stuff up
There's a secondary meaning to this song, especially after the #metoo movement, you see a lot of examples in this video of Lady Gaga doing "whatever it takes" to get the approval of the people judging her. You see this in some of the imagery here of her getting on the guy's lap, before he pushes the button that sells a ton of her albums (on the computers). In essence the song is about a bad romance with a partner, the video is about her being abused by the music industry and her getting rich off of it.
metoo movement have no credibility after sounding off about justice Kavanagh they stay silent on Cuomo and now where is their outrage regarding Biden administration allowing Taliban to come back to murder and brutalise women . They are just an arm of the democratic party
Timothy I agree. There is more than a “Bad Romance” going on there. It’s sad but very true. You might have seen Lady Gaga in an interview recently when she told her truth. The music she was creating would be taken away from her, burned as a matter of fact unless she gave in sexually to the powers that be in the record industry. In that interview Gaga cried as she stated she was raped and ended up pregnant by her rapist. The examples are there as you stated. She’s been in the business for 20 years. The secondary meaning in my opinion is valid.
isn't she being sold as a sex slave in the video, like some kind of mafia human trafficking thing? She's drugged, stripped and the men are bidding on her to buy her. I love the song, but I just can't stomach any glamorization of human trafficking, with the high fashion, luxury, diamonds and whatnot. Not a video for me.
One thing about Lady Gaga is she’s never boring, you never know what you’re gonna get. Truly talented. At the other end of her incredible repertoire, check out her duets with Tony Bennett. Yep, you read that right....Tony Bennett.
That hasn’t been true since 2011. Now she gone back to generic dance music desperate to get back to her glory pop days ! Fair play for her acting nom and and let’s see what the future holds hopefully she’ll come back bigger than ever!
@@Eucalyptus_Sage no lies tho 😜 and actually you nor see me congratulating her on the acting and hoping she comes back letter and bigger. You just bitter cos she’s irrelevant now
@@busterburn5659 calling her boring ever since 2011 is a lie, she clearly wasn't boring with Artpop and her acting and fashion has stayed true to the original comment, entertaining, even Cheek To Cheek was amazing, even tho it's not everyone's piece of cake, it truly changed her career, letting everyone know that she can truly sing, specifically with all of her amazing performances like the 2015 Oscar's or her Super Bowl
@@Eucalyptus_Sage true she’s amazing singer art pop was boring and all the same throughout. Only liked do what you want guy and gypsy. It was neither art nor pop. And true her Super Bowl was brilliant with her biggest hits. As is I said I wish her all the best if she doesn’t want to go back to being the biggest pop star in the world that’s cool she’s got her acting going but she’s nor as exciting as at the start.
This was the first song of Lady Gaga that I heard and became her fan. She is definetely one of the most unique and talented artists of our time. I recommend "Poker face", "Edge of glory". One of my favourites from her is "I'll never love again" from her movie "A star is born"
I'm embarrassed to to admit this, but my mother turned me on to Gaga, she loved her. Her artistry and voice transcend generations. I can't wait to see her perform again.
This was 12 years ago ... I'm looking forward to you listening to how she's evolved since then. So amazing! So many people wrote her off in the early days, but boy, she's shown us all how much talent she has. She's a really amazing jazz singer, an incredible pianist, and is just brilliant. A true talent!
Lady Gaga makes some weird music videos, but her voice is just WOAH, I love a bunch of her songs, some of my favorites are •Bad Romance •Poker face •Just dance •Alejandro They are so many more but these 4 are my absolute favorite
Her superbowl halftime performance was one of my favorites of all time. I love this song and have listened to it hundreds of times but never once saw the video so that was a special treat! Please react to more of her music!
Bad Romance is one of my favorite Lady Gaga songs! I appreciate your reaction to it! Others you should check out are Paparazzi (my sister’s favorite song), Born This Way, Poker Face, and Shallow (from the 2018 version of A Star Is Born, that one is really good).
Lady Gaga by poets and lyricist give her credit for this song. There is nobody with this capability in modern times to write words like this. Nobody says it right about what they want in a relationship. People can’t say the right words...they want somebody funny and romantic. She says it raw. I want a bad romance. A tragedy. I not only want you when things are good I want the worst of you. I want you when you’re yelling or hurting or when your baby is sick. Nobody says that. And all her looks in this video: strange, beautiful, weird, alien, crazy like in a mental institution, exaggerated fashion. Ugly fashion. But she’ll take your bad side with your good side. She wants a romance with you not a lie but she’ll take that other side of you. I think this is one of the most well written songs she’s ever done. And we have it to compare to everthing else she’s done and everything else anybody has done. I don’t know if it was hard for her to put out there. A composer calls their songs “babies” before their songs are released. With all this emotional stuff she put in here what did she feel when she let go of it.
Lady Gaga is a multi-talent! I'm so glad you started off with this; it's my absolute favourite from her and one of the best hits from 2000s. Still slaps! Oh boy, I remember this song being EVERYWHERE, and we all knew the moves. This mv is sooooooo great too! I sure hope you'll dive deeper to the Gaga universe. There is literally nothing this woman can't do. Her albums are full concept albums, her singles are catchy hits with top notch production, her music videos are like mini movies, she can act, writes her own music, dances like a pro, literally everything. There are so many great songs and music videos to react to, but definitely I recommend her first hit "Pokerface", "Alejandro", Oscar- winning "Shallow" and later, when you learn more, "marry the night" and quite recent and CRAZY GOOD MUSIC VIDEO 911! I also enjoy "John Wayne" very much. Please please react more to her!
I've gained a deep respect for Lady Gaga over time as I've gotten to know more of her music, but honestly I think all her previous videos pale in comparison to "911". It's just that damn good. There are better songs of hers, but I'd argue there probably isn't a better music video.
Whaaaaaat 😱 you’re reacting to Lady Gaga!!?? This video has a deep message about the music industry. How horrible it is and how an artist must sell themselves, hence the men bidding on her. This song and video are amazing!
Her Alexander McQueen fashion moment. They were great friends and he helped her bring a lot of her fashion creations to life. So sad when he passed, what an amazing artist.
Unlike so many performers these days, Lady Gaga can truly sing. She is a talent that stands out from this to toning it down and singing classics with Tony Bennett.
Stephanie is her real name, Lady GaGa was from Queen's Radio GaGa, she is such an incredible artist visually as well as vocally...addictive! Jay, please take a listen to "Applause ", and the video is amazing.
Lady Gaga comes on in the car and my husband immidiately starts dancing in his seat and is happy. One of her tunes came on when we were in Walmart shopping and someone caught us both dancing in the aisle. 🤣
Gaga actually has a ton of talent. I'm surprised that you had successfully avoided hearing anything from her over the last decade +; her music has been everywhere. She's collaborated with Tony Bennett, Bradley Cooper (for the film A Star is Born), Beyonce, etc. She's won numerous Grammy's, other music awards, an Academy award for the song Shallow from A Star is Born, and has even been nominated in both film and television.
An awesome song from Ga Ga and one of the top pop stars on the planet. Can sing any genre, dance and act. What is there she can't do?😁🤔👍🎶❤️ Try the duet with Beyonce Jay, Telephone.
i know many people loathe how weird she was back then but that was what made her interesting! i can proudly say that the trajectory of this woman's career is very pleasing to me.
I can't believe i just watched somebody lose their Bad Romance virginity on youtube...that's insane... i love though how the guy is so unbiased and objective about music... I'm very entertained by this channel...so thumbs up for sure!!!
Yes more Lady Gaga please , she had lots of big hits to choose from - Poker Face , Paparazzi , Telephone , Born This Way , Alejandro , Just Dance & not forgetting Shallow from the movie A Star is born with Bradley Cooper .
This can't be real, this song was EVERYWHERE. You couldn't hide from it no matter where you went so this is some bullshit that you've not heard of it or know of her 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You & I, Edge of Glory and Born this way are top for me, along with this song. She has dueted with a few people, obviously Bradley Cooper in A Star is Born, Beyonce, Elton John and crooner Tony Bennett. She has had a ton of hits. I'm actually amazed you have never heard of her. She even did an NFL half time show.
This video on the face of it doesn't match the song...till it does..took me a long time to actually appreciate the message here..its utter genius.. one of my favourite videos ever... That right there was art and even so early on in her career may be the best she'll ever do.. video wise..its perfection
The only thing I can think of that it might've been is when she wore a dress made out of meat! 😝 You should check out Just Dance which was her 1st song. Poker Face is also good! And Born This Way! She got a lot of her influence from Madonna BTW.
Only controversies I can think of around Gaga are when she wore the meat dress years ago, or that her dog walker was recently shot and her dogs stolen a few months ago. The dogs are home safe, but the walker was in the hospital for a while. Or possibly that she testified on Kesha's behalf when she took her producer to court for sexual assault. Edit: I love this song, but the video gives it such an intense double meaning. She is being bathed, dressed, and forced to perform for men who are buying her. She HAS to say that she wants their love and attention in order for them to bid higher and higher amounts, her success depends on her willingness to sell herself, so she acknowledges that she is caught in a bad situation that looks glamorous, and burns the man who bought her to death, because she doesnt actually want to be bought/owned in order to make her art.
The story she is telling is the way she feels women are bought and sold as objects in the industry. She is kidnapped by supermodels who auction her off to the highest Russian billionaire bidder, who gets more than he bargained for. She is SO creative in her music and videos 🤩🤩
Her creativity, flexibility and her ability to reinvent herself is only comparable to Madonna. Check out her entirely other side in her Duett with Bradley Cooper (!) in „Shallow“, which even won an Oscar!
