This is a DOPE video. It shows the lifestyle of a "local". I was born in Oahu but moved to Cali (Bay Area) when I was 6. I still have hella family there (Town side, Aiea, Salt Lake, Pearl City and Mililani). I use to visit every summer till I reached High School. I would visit, here and there. The last time I was there was 7 years ago. I miss my cousins and when I watch your videos, it reminds me of my cousins and the BBQ's they had when I would visit. The point of my comment is, if I never moved to the Mainland, I think I'd be doing what you're doing Royce! Keep up the good work and keep posting your videos! Royce glad to say im a new subscriber I used to dive a lot every weekend my older sister got me hooked and would take me growing up she had cancer and passed away five years ago and I stop diving.. it was funny watching your videos cracking up.. u is one funny buggahhhh lol started binge watching your Uploads busted out my Dive Gear and been back in the water second week now thanks! aww brings back memories. Moved to mainland in 2013 but still have our house in Ewa Beach. Used to night dive at least once or twice a week. My wife would always get suspicious when I came home with a big Uhu, thought I bought it before I went out and stashed it in case I didn't catch. Not allowed to come home empty. Have a 23 foot Pontoon boat and periodically fish in the Delta in Northern Cal. Love your videos

I always stay hittin da water before you! Just usually from boat over there, when I do shore dives there I plan for drifts. When garmen descent gives you an "early riser award" you know you partner options stay limited. No one like hittin the road 2 hours before sunrise. I wish I could pump out edits as quick as you. My daughter makes editing a hard thing to get done quick. I'm super ADD if you can't tell from this comment.

Man, this fish is soooo good to eat. What I learned recently is that they are really beneficial to the reef. They specifically eat invasive algae that kills the reef. I thought the person telling me was just trying to make me feel bad about shooting such a beautiful fish. Look into it, I don’t know any other fish that eats the invasive algae off the reef other than Uhu. If anyone knows what other fish eats invasive algae, please comment because I would like to learn what not to shoot. I’m not trying to tell anyone what to do, but I think all of us that hunt uhu didn’t know this fish was primarily the fish that keeps the reef beautiful and healthy. I still think this a good video though , god knows I have my shot my share of uhu and fight the feeling of hunting them these days because I hate the invasive algae. I’m a daily free diver and spear fish too, Aloha 🤙🏽

The uhu aka parrot fish also makes sand once it eats the coral and algae it poops out sand that wash up on the beach and keep the beaches with beautiful sand. One adult parrot fish can product 1 ton of sand every year. Dont want to say dont shoot these fish Braddah put you really shouldn't for the that reason
